Dead shelter pets used in pet food!

Updated on August 14, 2015

Euthanized shelter dogs and cats sold to pet food makers

It’s true! Some shelters sell their euthanized dogs and cats to rendering plants for dog and cat foods. It’s almost unbelievable! The levels that people go to for a buck! Can you imagine the bad health effects to our pets? Besides it being vile, it’s no different than the “Mad Cow Disease”. You’re probably wondering why you’ve never heard of such a thing…well, do a search on one of the engines. You’ll find it. And yes, something must be done with the large numbers of dogs and cats that are killed every day in US shelters but feeding it back to dogs and cats seems unethical. Cannibalism has been deemed immoral for most people which public opinion includes animal cannibalism. Why not use cremation which is an alternative that is used today for some shelters as well as human beings. It’s a solution to the disposal of the carcasses and its better than cannibalism. What it boils down to is someone decided it’s better to make a buck off unwanted dead pets so they went with it. We know it’s been happening at least since the nineties but these pet food processors deny using dog and cat carcasses. More research and investigation needs to be conducted so that these processors can be stopped. Laws need to be put in place so these people can be prosecuted by law. Let’s properly dispose of these animals.

It is. The levels people go to for a buck is horrible. Some things are unforgivable.

That is truly horrible and an awful way to make a buck.
