Don't Forget To Brush Your Kitty's Teeth!
How Keep Your Kitty's Teeth Healthy
When you bring home that cute little kitty cat, keep this in mind, that besides feeding him and changing his litter box everyday you will also need to get into a habit of brushing his teeth at least once a day to remove the germs and cavity causing plaque from his teeth.
Because germs and plaque ( sticky white film) forms on your kitten's teeth just like it does on humans.
You can start cleaning your little kitty's teeth by brushing them with a baby size toothbrush without toothpaste. After you finish brushing the teeth, don't forget to clean his tongue by gently wiping it with a wet cloth or paper towel. This will help keep his mouth smelling fresh and clean.
But, if you do not remove the plaque regularly from your kitten's teeth the plaque will turn to a substance called calculus. If the calculus is left on the teeth more then 48 hours it will blacken in to a hard substance called tartar and very difficult to remove with a toothbrush.
If this happens you will have to take your kitten to a veterinarian to have the tartar removed to prevent him from getting cavities and gum disease or losing some of his teeth.
