Great Toys and Gifts for Pets

Updated on August 30, 2016

Pets are People Too!

For anyone who has ever had a beloved pet, you'll know how true it is when I say that your cat, dog, etc. really is a member of the family. They love you unconditionally, and provide affection and companionship without really asking for anything in return.

Moreover, as a member of the family, you should try to give them the same level of attention that you give to everyone else. That means thinking of them on special occasions - Christmas, Valentine's Day, what have you - or just at times when you want to show you care. With that in mind, here are a few toys and gifts you might think of getting for your pet not just because of some special occasion (like a holiday) but because you love them.

FroliCat Laser Toy

This awesome little gadget automatically generates a laser light that your pet will have the time of his life chasing around as it moves in random patterns. There's also a manual setting that will allow you to manually determine where the laser light goes.

This toy will clearly provide hours of fun. Moreover, despite the name, this one isn't just for cats, as you can tell from the video below.

Citronella Anti-Bark Dog Collar

This unique approach to pet behavior modification has met with rave reviews. Rather than attempting to stop excessive barking through shock or ultra-sonics, this system sprays a short burst of citronella - which is both painless and harmless - whenever the pet engages in unwanted behavior.

In addition, it can be used to address a wide range of problem areas, e.g., digging, jumping on counters, etc. No surprise, then, that this item is the best-selling no-bark dog collar on Amazon.

Lectro Soft Heated Pet Bed

This heated pet bed is perfect for keeping your dog or cat warm and cozy, regardless of weather conditions. Designed for either indoor or outdoor use, it fits perfectly with any environment: doghouse, back porch, what have you. It comes in three sizes (small, medium and large) and is ideal for older pets that may have muscle or joinft issues.

ScoopFree Self-Cleaning Litter Box

This is one time where the name inded says it all. Now you can finally wash your hands (no pun intended) of having to deal with your cat's dirty, smelly waste. Moreover, this remarkable device works for weeks at a time. Watch the video below to see it in action.

Some interesting choices here. I sure would love to 'wash my hands' of the kitty mess but am skeptical. Who wouldn't love a heated bed? Nice job.
