Hamster Cage Size

Hamster Cages Come In All Sizes

Hamster cages come in an assortment of sizes. The hamsters living area in the Critter Trail cages can be expanded with the use of funnels and additional compartments. If needed, the hamsters living area can be quickly reduced by removing the funnels as well.

Normally you would want to get the largest size hamster cage possible, giving your hamster lots of room to roam and explore. However, your own living accommodations may not allow for a large hamster cage, in that case you would need to consider a hamster cage of a smaller size.

As a family we have had several hamsters as the kids were growing up. They are very sweet little creatures and so soft. You have a very nice hamster store, information, and I really like what your doing here. I can almost smell a hamster cage with wood clips in it. :)

I find that you can pick up a big second hand aquarium quite cheap when it's not watertied anymore. those are perfect for dwarf hamsters (chinese or roborski hamsters). filled with sand and bedding they are great for the little fellas to dig around in. :-)

Interesting! Growing up on a farm I had many pets .. but never a hamster. I had 2 white mice once. I made a nice cage for them. My mistake was making it out of wood. Somewhere in the world there runs white mice related to mine. lol

You know, I just thought of a cool lens that my mom should do!!!!! Raising chinchillas -- she had an area down our basement when I was in school where she raised dozens of them -- it was pretty interesting to see the males visiting the females -- and we'd help with the cleaning out of the cages. Don't think I ever had a hamster -- just a guinea pig.
