How To Choose The Right Automatic Cat Litter Box.

Updated on July 20, 2010

Automatic Cat Boxes

Their are so many different automatic litter boxes and pans out their anyone could become confused when it comes to making a decision on them.  Their are many litter scooping, litter sweeping, flushing yes i said flushing the cat genie makes a flush litter box.

ScoopFree self scooping litter box is the self-cleaning litter box you can leave alone for weeks at a time. It is the only self-cleaning litter box that uses disposable cyrstal litter trays to provide hands-off convenience and unbeatable odor control. You don't have to see, touch, or smell your cats waste. Simply put a ScoopFree with the disposable crystal litter tray pre-filled with litter prefilled with Fresh Step Crystals. When your cat uses the litter box, the crystals immediately absorb moisture and odor and begin to dehydrate solids. The crystals work so much better than the clay litter it last much longer. Twenty minutes later, ScoopFree's rake automatically sweeps the waste into a covered compartment, leaving the litter smelling clean and fresh. Simply replace the disposable tray every few weeks, and the litter box is just like new.

Here is what is said about the crystal litter. Fresh Step Crystals stop odors five times better than clay and clumping litter. They absorb urine on contact and dry solid waste to reduce odor. The covered waste compartment locks in odor and leaves litter smelling clean and fresh. Crystal litter offers the benefits of low tracking, is 99% dust-free, and you need 5 to 10 times less of it than clay and clumping litter, so it’s earth-friendly and lightweight. Replace the trays at least once every 20-30 days for one cat, every 10-15 days for 2 cats, every 7-10 days for 3 cats. More than 1 box is recommended if you have more than 2 cats.

Think your cat is to big?

Well only a mountain lion would be to big for this lol.  The litter maid elite is designed for extra-large cats or multiple-cat households that need so serious litter control. It cleans up after your cat by itself, depositing waste into the disposable container, which seals away the waste and odors. When the container is full, just throw it away and replace with a fresh one easy as that. The litter box has a infrared sensor that detects waste deposits and rakes them away 10 minutes after the cat leaves the litter box. If the cat re-enters and leaves the litter box before the initial 10 minutes have elapsed, the timer will automatically reset and delay the beginning of the cleaning cycle for an additional 10 minutes. So their is no worry about your cat becoming afraid of the litter box because of it. The unit's safety bar automatically stops the cleaning rake at the slightest touch, and its paw-cleaning ramp traps litter when the cat exits the box with litter on their feet. The steel rake can be removed and the litter tray detaches for easy cleaning that only takes minutes.  I recommend cleaning it every 2 weeks. Other highlights include an "on/off" switch and indicator light, a sleep timer for nighttime use, and a sensor-activated ionic air cleaner to minimize odors between cycles. Accessories include four easy-to-install carbon filters and four disposable, sealable, waste receptacles for a virtually odor-free environment. The unit's quiet motor uses a low-voltage AC adapter (included) or batteries (8 standard "AA" batteries, which are not included). The litter box measures 28 by 20 by 8-1/2 inches.

Around and Around

This system is quiet and simple to use, and even cleans without disturbing the cat while their taking care of business. Economical and environmentally friendly, the litter box rotates slowly (once every 24 hours) while an internal filtering system pans scat out of the kitty litter, and moves it away into a hopper lined with a recycled plastic shopping bag. Which makes the world cleaner. Just tie up the bag on this automatic cat litter box and don't worry about smelling the mess.

This is for cats up to 12 pounds, the cleaning action runs 24 hours a days so you don't have to worry about when to scoop next or if it's going to smell up the room.No tools required for assembly, and no moving parts to catch the cat's fur,No need to fear if your cat can get hurt by the litter box. Now keep the litter box anywhere without fear of the overwhelming embarrassing smell. Have 4 or 5 litter boxes laying around being used now just switch to one.

Automatic flushing cat genie.

The Cat Genie automatic cat litter box is the greatest invention for the cat lover because it hooks up to a water spout and actually flushes your cat litter.  Using the special made cat litter which is greatly priced you can re use it for 4-6 months tell me a litter that can do that.  Just hook up the CatGenie 120 to a cold water outlet, and plug in the electrical cord. Litter-like Washable Granules line the bottom of the box. When your kitty goes, the liquid drains away from the Granules, so only the waste gets flushed. The GenieHand then scoops out the solid waste, which is turned to liquid for safe, easy removal. Fresh water fills the basin, and the GenieHand scrubs and scours the box and Granules.  The price tag is a little high but with the money you'll save from buy litter every week for $9 a box that equals $36 or more for the minimum a cat genie pack goes for is 4 months for $22.  After 4 months at $36 thats $144 in four months and $216 in six months so the Cat Genie pays for it's self.

Hint: For Automatic cat litter box

Remember to look into the specifications of what kind of litter to use.  Alot of them have their own litter to use and if others are used it can cause problems with the machine.  The litter that is made for them is cheaper in the long run like i explained for the Cat Genie.
