Huge Horses

These are some of the largest, and most majestic, horses that ever lived. Horses famous enough to star on their own postcards (the Instagram of their day). Most tapes for measuring horses are only 2 meters in length, which is equivalent to less than 20 hands. So most of these guys are literally off the charts!

However, owners of these horses often exaggerated their size to increase their earning potential as sideshow and fair exhibit. Listed below are some examples of objectively weighed or measured horses so we can see which is truly the biggest that ever existed.

Brooklyn Supreme (1928-1948)

      Wow- these are huge! The tallest one I ever saw "in person" was 18 hands and I thought he was big!

      Horses like those I prefer to call genital giants. Horses such as these are massive and very powerful and can pull most anything. These horses are awesome to ride because of there size. Riding a horse such as these is just like riding in a Cadillac such smooth riding.
