Characteristics of Pomeranians: Boo's Breed
Pomeranians are typically a very friendly and lively breed of dog. The breed is thought to have named after what is now the northeast region of Germany, known as Pomerania. According to the American Kennel Club the Pomeranian is among the more popular dog breeds in the United States, consistently in the top 15 registered AKC dog breeds over the last 10 years. The breed ranked #13 in the 2008 rankings, having attained the same ranking in 2007 and 2003. The trendy and charming look of this Spitz-type, with its thick fur, fluffy ruff, curled tail and small muzzle and ears, makes this a very sought-after lapdog.
In 1888 Queen Victoria adopted a small red Pomeranian, and by the end of the 19th century red was quite a fashionable color. Today the most common colors of the dog are orange, black, and cream or white. Boo the Dog is an orange-colored Pom.

Trick or Treat for Boo
My friend Sunforged, just about the best person to find the best of the internet, introduced me to Boo's Facebook page this past Halloween. Sunforged sent me a link to Boo's Facebook page and honestly I really though that boo was just another cute plush toy, but Boo is the real deal. Just look at how adorable this teacup Pomeranian was dressed for a fun night of trick or treating. Tell me, if Boo came to your door what treat would you have pulled out for him?

Boo and His Brother Buddy
Boo has a brother named Buddy. And though Buddy wears his hair a bit longer, he too is a teacup Pomeranian These two love to spend time together, and from what I hear their favorite time is lazy Saturday mornings. They truly love each other and sometimes they take turns being each other's pillow. Life does not get any cuter!
More About Buddy
Buddy has the typical Teacup Pomeranian white coat. His top coat is long and straight, and his undercoat is soft and fluffy. Unlike Boo, who has a teddybear cut, Buddy wears his hair long! Don't get the wrong idea that just because Buddy doesn't have his own Facebook page that he doesn't have the same attraction. For you can see that as cute of a dog Boo is, Buddy has the same adorable factor. Must be good dog genes. Or is it that we just cannot resist small dogs, especially Poms?
If you look at the last pic in the group to the right you will see that if he is being squished by someone, he would rather it be Buddy!
