The Advantages of Starting Early
My son has been neatr aquariums since he was newborn. Many nights were spent rocking him to sleep by the dim light of our 26 gallon aquarium. His eyes watched excitedly as the fish darted about the tank and the leaves danced in the turbulence of the power filter. He would happily point at the tank and giggle. Now at the age of three he has a ritual of feeding the fish each night before bed. He also is the first to identify the fish, plants and snails that move about. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach him the many lessons that the aqaurium offers while leaving the television off. A small miracle in this technological age! In a nutshell, the simple answer to your question about the "right" age for a child to have an aquarium (with adult help and supervision) varies from child to child and household to household, but a child is never to early to be exposed to all the excitement a well-established and healthy aquarium has to offer!
