Cat Rating: Cover that Hiss up!

The nice lady that gave me Sammie brought me a can of cat food and dry food that she and her grandmother had been feeding the kittens but none of my cats would eat it! Always remember:

“You always get what you pay for!”

My furry kids give this canned food a “Cover that Hiss up!” ratings and I do not blame them at all!!

- However -

She turned her nose up at it and walked away and my outside cat wouldn't eat it either!

#2 My Review on Friskies Pate Wet Cat Food

Source

Friskies Pate Wet Cat Food by Nestlé Purina PetCare Company, (a subsidiary of Nestlé Global)

Flavor: Mixed Grill

Weight: (12) 13 oz. Cans

Cost: $13.51 ($1.01/Ounce)

Cat Rating: Wonderful! (meowz)

Available at: Walmart

Ingredients:

Meat by-products, water, poultry by-products, liver, chicken, rice, artificial and natural flavors plus minerals and vitamins are too long to write here. You can view the information here

In fact, Friskies is what I call “junk food” for my kitty and although she usually gets a different brand, she ate it all up! While I was researching for: My Review on Cat Canned Food! Which One Does Sammie Love? I was leery on what I would find and some of the brands turned out to be A-OK!

Consequently, I Have to Be Fair

Consequently, I must be fair and say that she does like Friskies Pate because I mix it with warm water and Friskies does look more appealing than the first one, I reviewed.

You Get What You Pay for!

Consequently, I must be fair and say that she does like Friskies Pate because I mix it with warm water. She absolutely loves it. Albeit Friskies does look more appealing than the first one I reviewed.

What I don’t like about Friskies is that its first three ingredients are meat by-products, water, poultry by-products Also, what I don’t like is that Friskies claims it’s “made with real chicken, to have all the essential nutrients that support the health and maintenance of an adult cat.

Now for what I do like about this brand is that it comes in 13 oz cans and pouches and it’s available by the case as well! Which is a plus! Moreover, I do love that 99% of Purina cat food is made in the United States! Bravo! Paws Up! Oh yeah!!

Again, Sammie loves Friskies the way I love Big Mac’s and neither one is good for us- Sorry Sammie!

A Little Back Story on Friskies

Meanwhile, Friskies is a well-known brand that has been around since the 1950s. Cats were becoming the country’s most popular pets at the time. Friskies wanted to jump on that bandwagon and make some cat food. The company was initially introduced by the Carnation Company in the 1930s as a dog food brand. Friskies cat food was introduced in the 1950s, it was the first dry pet food product for cats.

“By 1973, Friskies was one of five companies that controlled two-thirds of the $1.75 billion pet food market,” the brand was bought by Nestlé in 1985. for more interesting facts visit here.

This leads me to the conclusion that I would expect more from such a well-known brand and the quality doesn’t back up the name!

What do you think?

My kids (cats) give it a “wonderful” meows rating!

My Review on Cat Canned Food: The Best Brand So Far

And now for the cat canned food that Sammie loves the most and I bet your feline will love it too is…

Turkey and Tote’s New Pate! by Weruva Woot! Woot! Yay!

This product is Tuna based, BPA, grain, gluten & carrageenan FREE and their food recipes are formulated to meet nutritional levels established by the AAFCO! <— see what I mean?

My daughter gave me a small box of this brand for Sammie because her senior cat, Violet (may she rest in peace) didn’t like it at all. And I needed to buy some more for Sammie because she loves it! She purrs and purrs for this awesomely wonderful food!

What I don’t like is that it comes in a pouch and that I can’t get all the food out of the pouch unless I cut it open and scrape it. And that isn’t going to happen! I mean, who wants to have to do that?

I do like that this product comes in cans and pouches! I will get the cans next time so that none of it will go to waste.
