Pocket Pets: Product Review: SuperPets Clean Cage Safe Deodorizer
Cage Cleaning Time
Animals can introduce a lot of joy, love, and fun into your life. They can also introduce responsibility and messes. Caged pets, like hamsters and ferrets, have a lot of advantages of dogs, such as they don't bark or potty on your floor. However, caged critters still need to be taken care of and cleaned up after.
Putting off cage cleaning can lead to many unpleasant things such as nasty odors and illness. You wouldn't want to live, eat, and play in your bathroom, and neither do your caged pets! Luckily, there are lots of products to make cage cleaning easier.
And if you're like me, then you usually have at least one cage full of fun little critters threatening to stink up your room! I like rats, personally, and have had many rats over the years. I've also had mice, gerbils, hamsters, dwarf hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, and african soft fur rats.
I've tried all kinds of cleaners and found one I use consistently because it works and is non-toxic: Super Pets Clean Cage Safe Deodorizer.
SuperPets, the manufacture of this product, is a huge name in caged animals and pocket pets. As expected from a kingpin, SuperPets good reputation is well earned and Cage Clean is no exception to SuperPets quality.
SuperPets reviews Cage Clean as:
"Clean Cage is a non-toxic cage cleaner and deodorizer that contains a unique combination of environmentally safe cleansing agents plus refreshing odor control properties to safely clean your pet's home and accessories. Small animals need special care to lead happy and healthy lives. Keeping cages clean is an important part of the commitment to proper care of your pet. 16 oz. plastic trigger spray bottle is easy to use."

Make It Easy
There are a lot of advantages to using Cage Clean. The biggest one in my books is that it's safe and non-toxic. This means it's not made of chlorine or ammonium or any other potentially harmful substance to me or my pets. Domestic rats have many respiratory problems and that fact that Cage Clean does not have toxic fumes is a huge plus.
The fact that it does not leave a residue, even if you don't rinse it, is also another good reason to use this product. It makes it much easier to spray and wipe quickly on potentially icky areas, such as litter boxes or shelves, keeping the cage smelling fresh and clean. Quick wipes through out the week cuts down on total cage cleaning time at the end of the week, leaving you more time and energy to enjoy your pets and not your pets' messes.
So, convenience is the name of the game here. Not only is it quick and easy to use without rinsing, the pump spray allows you to cover broad areas and get into cracks and niches in weird places like the back corner of the cage ceiling.
Lastly, cost. It doesn't cost much to try, and depending on the bottle size, it won't take much per cage cleaning, meaning you won't be purchasing it frequently. The formula is very concentrated and does not require a lot to clean and sanitize.
The Solution to Cage Cleaning
Don't make cage cleaning a dreaded chore. If you do, you're not helping yourself or your pet.
Cage Clean is a simple and affordable solution to keeping your pet healthy and happy and clean (not to mention your family and house guests!). Not to mention it's non-toxic and leaves a long-lasting scent of "freshness" in your pet's cage.
