A Cool Summer Treat For Your Dog

Keeping it Cool

A great Summer treat for your dog is a doggie popsicle! These look quite different from what you or I eat and come in different flavors!

When the heat is on during the Summer and the temps are reaching the 100's it's time to search out something cool. I like to recycle a plastic container, Ice Cream Bucket size for large dogs and smaller Margarine size for smaller dogs, and fill it with low sodium broth or bouillon. You can add bits of meat or veggies or whatever your dog likes. Place the container in the freezer. Once frozen you can pop it out, like an ice cube, and give it to your dog outside.

It will keep your pup busy for hours and cool him/her off in the process. Simple to make and easy on the budget.

Cute! I am glad that doggie treats have improved since I was a kid. I gave my dog peanut butter. Poor thing could have choked to death. I love the pictures!

      Thanks for sharing.
