GalaxyRat is fond of rats and writing. And dark poetry. She knows that people don't like all these things together... but who cares?

How Can You Take Good Pics of Yo' Pets?

For one, I always have a camera with me, so I can catch all adorable moments of my rats. If you are looking to model your animal, put him or her somewhere where the background is plain. In my pictures of my rats, you can see a colorful background, which may have not been the best choice, but does show the rats' plainer colors more clearly. If you have a background such as that, try to do black-n-white, but if you want to show your animals' color, do it anyway. Try to find a photo app in which you can highlight or even bring back only your pet's fur or scale or feather color.

Taking pictures of pets is fun... and cute!

What If I Want My Pet to Do a Particular Pose?

Hmmmm. Well, I have done one of those with Templeton. I put peanut butter on a coin, which he picked up and began licking the treat off. Try that! Also, teach your animal a trick and to "hold" that pose. This works for larger animals such as dogs and cats.

Enjoy your photo shoots of animals!

Rats do make good pets. You can find them at shelters and all that, but they take a lot of work. They don't cost all that much, BUT, they are very active when young and sometimes when older. I hope a rat finds her or his way into your heart!

I loved looking at the rat photos, especially those of your own pets. I've had a variety of pets over the years, but never a rat. I'd love to have one in my home. They seem to be such clever and interesting animals.

Haha, for a minute, I was covering my tablet screen, like, "SCABBERS AND TEMPLEON, THE CAT IS HUNGRY!!" Good to know 'the cat" is harmless. Thanks for reading.

Your photos show your pets' personalities. Very cute. Right now one of my cats is sitting with me at the computer. He thinks the rats are cute too. (Oreo is harmless, a scaredy cat.)
