Review On Fresh Step Cat Litter, Best I Found So Far
Kitty Litter Has Come A Long Way!
Choosing a Scoopable cat litter can be a challenge. After much ta do I have decided Fresh Step is the best scoopable litter. Now mind you I used to buy the big bags of cat litter, like the 25 pound size, and I would stock up on them, for only one cat. This was the regular cat litter. My friends kept telling me Scoopable was the way to go, so I did, and I am glad I made the change.
I did try many of the different brands that are on the market today, as I want the best product I can get for my money. I also want it to do the job as well. I want to say though, you still have to scoop everyday and add a little extra to the litter, but in the long run it does work and does save money. The Scoopable litter does keep the odor down. I do scoop everyday and add a bit extra to refresh the scent. Sometimes I even find no need to add extra litter. And every two weeks I change and clean the litter pan with Mr Clean Febreze multi purpose cleaning solution. You can't just empty a pan an refill it with litter. You need to clean the whole pan. You want it to be fresh. Your cat will appreciate it, just as we like a clean bathroom. Cats are funny when it comes to where they go do their business, and how clean it is. We can't blame them , especially if they are an indoor cat. They won't use the pan if it is messy or smells. It is also a good idea to use a larger litter pan, especially if you have more than one cat. They need room to move around, and not be cramped up. Also it helps to avoid a ton of cat litter on the floor.
Okay so now I have used the " Multi Cat" and the "Odor Shield", both were excellent! I love the scent and they both work very well. I think it really has to do with the Carbon Eliminates the odor from the urine and feces. The litter really does have a good clumping action going on.
I did compare it to my 2nd favorite, which was the" Tidy Cats" scoopable litter. I liked this one, because it had the tiny balls, though it did not clump up as well , but the scooping part was pea sized in the pee department, and my scooper was not quite getting it all up. It did hold up in regards to odor control for the most part, so that was a good thing. Can you imagine these days , how important cat litter can be? As we as pet owners are keeping our cats indoors more nowadays. Not to mention cat litter is not cheap anymore. So we have to get as much use out of the product as possible. So for now I am sticking with "Fresh Step" Scoopable cat litter.
