Phorm - Mid-Century Modern Dog Bowls by Unleashed Life

Selecting Dog Bowls

The selection in dog bowls for food and water has never been wider than it is today. From elevated tables to zen-like filtered water fountains, designers and celebrities have created many unique designs that will compliment just about any décor.

When selecting a dog bowl we prefer one with a stainless steel liner or one made from a ceramic material for sanitary reasons. Plastic bowls, once scratched, can harbor germs, ultimately causing issues with nose pigmentation and digestive upset. Similarly, ceramic bowls should be discarded if the eating surface becomes chipped or cracked.

We have examined over 200 designer bowls and assembled a list of the 10 best looking and most functional water and dog food bowls on the market. The designs cover everything from Hip Hop, to classical to groovy, mid-century modern.

# 10 The Zhao Elevated Dog Food Tables

Zhao come in two sizes small and medium
Zhao come in two sizes small and medium

Zhao Chinese Feeding Tables Price $42 - $68

We love this design in a traditional white kitchen, however the simple design looks great in any décor.

Inspired by Chinese antiques, the Zhao Tables are cast in durable resin and finished in Ming Red lacquer. The removable stainless steel liners make it easy to feed and cleanup after each meal. The resin will not warp or chip with normal use, and they have a good hefty weight to prevent them from being pushed around the kitchen floor.

To clean the resin base, use a damp cloth. The liners can be sterilized in the dishwasher. These tables are suitable for indoor and covered patio use; it is not recommended to put them outdoors in full sunlight as the lacquer may fade.

Dimensions:

Medium
• 117W x 8.75D x 3.25H inches
• Weight - 8lbs
• Holds up to 4.5 cups of dry food or 36 oz of water.

Small

Best Filtered Pet Water Bowl

Both the Pioneer Raindrop fountain and its big brother, the Big Max Fountain, are recipients of Pet Products News Awards for design. And with good reason. The fluid designs remind us of Elsa Peretti's most elegant jewelry designs for Tiffany's.

The flowing water attracts pets, encouraging them to drink and stay hydrated & healthy. Equiped with an ultra-quiet pump; it circulates, filters and oxygenates the water. With the elegant shape & sparkling stainless steel, this pet fountain will go with any décor in your home.

# 5 Wetnoz Lil Pup Stainless Steel

Wetnoz Ultra Lil Pup

We love this groovy Italian design that is actually made in the USA!

Made from heavy steel, so the bowl will not tip over; the rubber feet make this a no skid food bowl.

The Wetnoz bowls keep water colder and the small holds up to 3 cups of food.

For dogs that are prone to bloat, the Wetnoz also has an optional stand to raise it up to a higher eating position.

Choose from one of two heights, small or large, for the stand, which elevate the bowl to 6 inches or 9 inches respectively.

The only negative to this bowl is that it is not dishwasher safe. To maintain the rubber feet and PVC ring, you will need to hand wash these dog food accessories.

Those are some fancy feeders! We have always had at least two dogs, but it was difficult to find a doggy diner with three place settings. A while back, a friend built us one with two place settings and one for a water bowl in the middle. It's perfect and we still use it today. I've heard that plastic bowls are not good to feed dogs from, so we no longer use the plastic. Voted up!
