The Dog That Hangs Out of the Car
We have one of the best dog breeds for a pet, lovable, long hair, Jack Russell terrier. Such a playful small dog, so loyal to its human family. Great defender and barker, a unique dog with some strange yodeling sounds when excited. When wet, they race around the yard or house at 90 mph amazingly dodging all obstacles, it is quite hilarious. After about a two minutes, they are exhausted, why? I have no clue. Quite entertaining! They also LOVE just about anything round to chase and bring back. Ours happens to LOVE lemon, apples and oranges. She goes bonkers over lemons and she will race out to the yard barking wanting you to throw it. So, for exercise, I have two of them, I throw it 25 yards and she races to get it, bring it back, drops it, barks for me to toss again, so I throw the other one. We do this for 10 minutes until she drops exhausted protecting the lemon from anyone.
In the car, Lola has two favorite positions. The first is sitting on the lap of a passenger and peering outside the windshield in a very alert and serious manner, The second, and the preferred position is hanging out of the window catching fresh wind and scents. These dogs are intelligent, she learns which button to press to open the window.
Most owners will cut their dogs hair short for that typical Jack Russell look, we didn't, it was much shorter as a puppy. Now , Lola is a big fur ball.
While I am sure other dogs are equally great, Jack Russell's are among the best family dogs.
