Thunder Jacket For Dogs With Fear or Anxiety Problems

Updated on July 25, 2015

Thundershirt, the Thunder Jacket for Dogs

We all want our dog to feel comfortable, happy and secure. Unfortunately, common problems such as separation anxiety, fear of loud noises, everyday objects or situations can make life miserable for many dogs and their owners.
The thunder jacket for dogs has helped thousands of pets overcome their feelings of fear and anxiety. They are basically a dog coat made of a stretchy, lightweight material. When the thunder jacket is fitted, it applies a constant gentle pressure around the dog's torso. Just like swaddling an infant, this pressure gives your dog a feeling of security, helping to calm their anxiety. It is just like a big, warm hug for your dog.
Thousands of vets and professional trainers are recommending the Thunder shirt anti stress wrap to their clients. In a survey of over 2,000 customers, over 80% reported a significant improvement in their dog's anxiety symptoms. No product is going to work for every dog, but it has got to be worth a try.

Choosing the right size thunder jacket for your dog.

The thunder jacket comes in a range of sizes to fit almost any size dog.

To make sure you get the right size, measure around your dog's chest behind the front legs, then choose the size from the chart on the right.

To put the jacket on, just lay it over your dogs back, then fasten the straps around the torso and chest. It should be adjusted for a firm, comfortable fit without being too tight. When adjusted correctly, you should be able to slide your hand under the straps.

These thunder jackets are great but they do have a high price with them.

Hi Ken. Voted up and interesting.

I'd heard of the Thunder-shirt before, but didn't know what is was. Interestingly, there's a similar product for people like me, who have Dysfunctional Sensory integration. It's called a pressure vest.
