1. Pink Fairy Armadillo

The pink fairy armadillo is the smallest species of armadillo. It is recognized by its bony armor shell. In 1825, an American zoologist described this specie. It is mainly found in desert area. The characteristics of pink fairy is that they have small eyes, silky yellowish fur, and a shell that is merely attracted to its body by a thin layer. Pink Fairy is 3.5 inches long and weighs about 120 g.

  • It pumps blood through its shell to control its body temperature.
  • They are known as “Sand Swimmer" because they can easily direct the way underground.

2. Tufted Deer

Tufted Deer was discovered from south china. They have "blown dark" fur on their head. The male tufted deer is recognized by the tusks that grow from their upper jaw. Their height is 2.3 ft. and weigh about 16782.9 g. They are mainly found in South Asia, Pakistan, and Korea.

3. Pangolin

Pangolins are the only mammals that have scales on their whole body. Their scales act as a weapon. The size of their scale is equivalent to a human fingernail. The size of Pangolin is the same as a small cat.

  • They don’t have teeth so they eat with the help of their sticky tongue.
  • They are mainly found in the area like Asia and Africa.

4. Kinkajou

Kinkajou belongs to the family of Raccoons and they live in rain-forests. They weight about 4.6 kg. Kinkajou feet can pivot to let them an excellent grip on branches. They are human-friendly that is why they easily get attached to humans. They live is a group and remain in their own land.

5. Vampire bat

Like a human-vampire, there is a species of bats that wholly feed on blood. They use to hunt by forming a group of 100 bats and attack their prey. The size of a vampire bat is about 13 inches. They are usually found in America and Mexico.

      The only one of the five animals you featured, of which I am familiar, is the vampire bat...not that I have ever encountered one. We have regular-sized armadillos in our area. It was fascinating learning about these other creatures. Thanks for the information.
