Adopt a Cat

Updated on June 1, 2015

Adopt a Cat

There are so many pets, in this case cats, in need that I have a hard time doing this lens. I get overwhelmed when I realize how many and in what conditions they are in and how much time some of these have allotted to live. I also have an animal blog with a bit of information on regarding how you might help and an art blog where I have a page for special help and adoptions.

Please bear with me as I am not as good at this animal helping as I wish I could be.

If you are going to adopt a cat this is probably the first thing you should think about

When you Shop Donations Made

You Can Help Animals Every Day:

Shop & Click at The Animal Rescue Site!

Not just cats but all animals will receive a small bit of help for each purchase made. The great part of this is that the products for sale are quality and the variety of things to choose from.

For each item purchased, a percentage of the retail price will be granted to charity partners through GreaterGood.org.

What Breed ?

What breed are you looking for?

The Rescue Me Organization has a fantastic site where you can enter the breed you are looking for and the country you are looking in. A map comes up and shows you the number of cats in that breed that are available in each state. I have not seen any countries other than the US show anything. When you click on the number a list including photos will show up for that area. You can also see urgent and non-urgent cases. This site needs promotion so more centers can list animals in need on it.,

These are some of the things you will find there

My cat came from a rescue shelter, and she's the most friendly and loving little girl, always happy to play or get a cuddle.

One thing to consider - pets are not objects! If you adopt cat he will most likely stay with you for 10-15 years or even more. This is important because many people take little pets and once they grow up they are not wanted anymore... So be responsible, after all your pets are your family members and should be treated as such.

We took a kitten from a family that desperately needed to house them, she wasn't a rescue as such but in danger of becoming one!

I've been thinking about adopting a kitten, but can't afford to properly care for it. So I guess that's something to look forward to in the future. Anyway, Great Lens :)
