animal cruelty when will it stop please help!

Updated on July 24, 2013

Discover the most terrible truth of abusing animals

This lens about animal cruelty I write not only for cats like in the picture but for all animals that have ever been abused or are still being abused.

Animals cannot say, that we should stop the abuse itself, so we have to do this for them, we can say STOP this abuse immediately

Forms of animal abuse

* The maim or manhandle animals in a pasture by strangers.

* Neglect of animals eg malnutrition, or lack

of veterinary care for injuries or illness

* The Docking of tail and / or ears in dogs.

* Fish using dynamite

* Animals caught using leghold traps, so the coat is not damaged

and can be used for fur coats

* Failure to keep the hooves of a horse,

and the horse must endure severe pains in order to stand and walk

Abuse in the recreational atmosphere, also exists

* bullfighting

* fox hunting

* fishing

* circus animals

* dancing bears

Abuse of bears

* Mistreatment of bears kept in too small cages, for draining bile, so it can be used in drugs,

which leads to enormous pains

* Dancing bears, it is learned by placing them on a piping hot plate

* Bears fighting dogs, the dogs are specially trained to bite in the most sensitive areas, often the claws of the bear are removed and has no chance to defend themselves

This lens just got an Purple Star, I'm surprised, but very proud that Squidoo, has chosen this lens, to honor with a Purple Star, thank You so very very much, I am speechless, but want to thank everyone who has contributed to give me this award.

By bull fighting in Spain, many bulls die a painful death - An other bull who has lost the battle

BULL FIGHTING IN SPAIN

In Spanish fighting bulls is an unequal battle waged, often fighting to 8 men with one bull, which

disoriented and anxious, the matador goes into battle, where the intention is to harass the animal

weaken and get ultimately by the knees with spears, daggers and spears the animal severely

wounding, and this suffering to severe blood loss and immense pain.

After about 15 minutes the animal eventually slain exhausted, suffering many bulls die

drowning dead, in their own blood, by which the matador is not accurate, and in place of the heart

pierces the lungs, then the "Puntilla" a short dagger used to make the spinal cord at the neck

by cutting, before the bull is dragged out of the arena, in the worst case the bull still alive

when he is dragged away.

This violent "sport" is fortunately not broadcast on Spanish state television TVE, and

Portugal is determined by the court that this is not for 22:30 on the Portuguese state television

may be shown, and in Lisbon stands for all bullfights text in image stating that this can have on young people negatively.

NO EXCUSE FOR CRUELTY

The WSPA know the bulls involved suffer severe during bullfights, and also find the excuse that the cultural heritage, it is shocking that bullfights still exist in the European Union (EU), in the field

animal welfare, will go ahead in the world.

A protocol that is part of the Treaty of Amsterdam, state that animals are able to feel fear and pleasure must be protected from cruelty.

This barbaric "sport" cannot be an exception.

Fighting for your life

Bear/dog fights

Fighting for your life

As Spain has bullfights, Pakistan does bear / dog fights.

An extremely barbaric medieval tradition, which today allows for large public entertainment.

Bears teeth and claws are removed and sometimes forced to fight, ten dogs a day, where they cause bears serious injuries.

Every fight with a bear and two dogs takes about 3 minutes.

The bear has won when he beat the dogs, but has no chance.

The dogs are trained to bite the bear on the most sensitive parts: nose, throat and head.

The injuries are not treated, they are simply put in the arena again.

When the WSPA in 1993 was investigating these battles were there in Pakistan 80 fights to be held annually.

Following the WSPA report, the government ordered a complete ban on bear / dog fights.

Unfortunately vain because there are more battles, in 2000 appeared in 1995 miracle to be there and kept fighting until the present day, this torture for bears still not stopped, although it seems to be less now.

In 2000, the WSPA opened a park for bears where about 30 bears can live, decorated with open spaces, bushes and trees and buildings that exist are a kind of bears hospitals.

A real fat cat, is also abuse
A real fat cat, is also abuse

Other sorts of abuse cruelty when will it stop

also giving too much food is a sort of abuse

Mistreatment of animals is not just to give out, no food, no care, and store or keep in small cages or aquariums, but an animal which is given too much food is also a sort of abuse, when the animal becomes a sort of battleship, and if the animal can hardly move through the overweight, this also comes under assault.

The cat in the picture does not look abused, but if you look closely, as you can see, he is really huge and probably can hardly walk or stand on its feet, and this is also, abuse.

The owner of this cat probably, takes real good care of his cat, but should give his cat less food, so his cat gets a healthy weight again.

The extraction of bile caused inhuman pain, and causes inflammation.

Bear bile there are alternatives

Only Bears produce high doses bile, in Asia the number on bear farms are only increased since 1980, official figures show that there are about 12,000 bears kept.

MODERN ALTERNATIVES

Herbal and synthetic alternatives to bear bile are affordable and available.

Draining bear bile is inherently cruel.

If Traditional Asian Medicine is used, make sure there is no bear bile in your treatments.

When we make people aware of the alternatives it will help protect bears from this cruel industry.

Tick, tock, tick, tock, Tick,

the clock is ticking, and every minute that we waste an animal will be mistreated or killed again. STOP THIS NOW, ANIMALS HAVE FEELINGS TOO.

this message says it all
this message says it all

Now let's reverse

what would be the abusers think of it?

Now we will turn around once, what would be the abusers think of it?

What if we let abused animals, mistreat their abusers

Abusers, are assaulting over a long time, the abuser will say, this beast should be killed because it is a wild animal that attacks me, and can therefore no longer stay in my house, circus, meadow, garden or anywhere , because it will re-injure me or attack ........is this fair?

I would like to see people give this some thought here, I will give everything to ensure that abusers stop abusing, and hope that this lens contribute.

The text on the picture says it all, but will this creature have a future, if we don't do something, this text will be a truth, and will be again this creature deprived his future.

After 10 years living in an filthy cage

A new life for Brother and sister

Jimi and Jexi

A new life for Brother and sister Jimi and Jexy

Jimi and Jexy are two bears that lived more than 10 years, in a filthy cage of concrete and iron, behind a bread factory in Romania.

After a long liberation struggle waged by the WSPA and their partner Asociatia Miljoane the Prieteni (AMP) could these two bears finally begin a new phase in their lives, here the story of prison to freedom, they now live safely in the green bear sanctuary in Romania.

Jimi and Jexi were as cubs locked in a small rusty cage behind a bread factory and so deprived of their liberty, their owner told that their mother was deterred by hunters and when he did not have the two bears with it taken would have it. Otherwise survived

The WSPA and AMP found it likely that the mother bear was killed and that Jimi and Jexy to this man sold.

The owner of Jimi and Jexi the cage be made slightly larger as the bears got older and grew, but was still far too small for the big bears now, they were not protected from the scorching sun Romanian and freezing winters.

Jimi and Jexi were only remnants of bread, this is a very poor diet for bears, and the water that was there, was barely adequate.

Brother and sister developed the habit of going polar bears in the cage, and this is like rocking movements make, an abnormal behavior for animals, this is caused by living in captivity.

After Romania joined the EU, there are new laws come for the protection of animals, according to this new law, there was true that Jimi and Jexi were held illegally and this marked the beginning of a struggle for them along with many others bears liberate the stubborn owner of Jimi and Jexi wanted "his" bears not give up.

Financed by the WSPA bear sanctuary was already completely full, there lived about 60 bears, who lived in the wooded fenced quiet environment, thanks to the AMP and WSPA supporters could expand the reserve so that all remaining captive bears, a new

and shelter could get in Romania.

Jimi and Jexi were the first of the remaining bears put on this bear sanctuary.

Brother and sister would never be able to survive in the wild, they can now live safely in their new home among trees, shrubs and lakes, where they can bathe in these lakes and lead a happy life, there are also lovely cozy dens where they keep their hibernation.

All this is made possible by the loyal supporters of the WSPA and Jimi Jexi thank them here!

Bears Shama, Mila and Lala free! - Also some good news

Shama en Mila in the Balkasar refuge
Shama en Mila in the Balkasar refuge

Bears Shama, Mila and Lala free!

Fortunately, there is also some good news about the bears, three bears Shama (Candle) Lala (Tulip) and Milla (Elegant) were rescued in October 2012 of their tormentors, 2 bears Mila and Shama are even released in the WSPA funded Balkasar refuge, their injuries are healing well, unfortunately for the third bear Lala is not yet the case and is still in quarantine because of the injuries to the muzzle still have not healed sufficiently. Mila and Shama have already found their place and mixing well between the other inhabitants of the refuge.

Mila (Elegant)

Mila is an Asian black bear 5 years old, her health has greatly improved since her arrival at the refuge, she has a fluffy reddish black fur. Mila was used during bear baiting this has clearly left its mark, in one eye, she is blind and her nose is full of scars, after her quarantine she boldly: went trough the fenced area inside, and explores it with Shama, Mila is eating very wel and let it taste good.

Shama (Candle)

Shama is also 5 years old, and was just used as Mila during bear baiting. After arriving at the refuge also her nose was in a bad way, but despite her bad start in life, they show feathered reasonably healthy. She and Mila emerged from the quarantine, it is a curious but also lively bear.

Lala (Tulip) of Balkasar

Lala was brought in with a gaping wound in her muzzle an appropriate care required and perhaps surgery. The hole in her muzzle makes it difficult for Lala to normal to get dinner, and wanted in the beginning no food. Her health condition is watched over by the veterinarian and the caregivers. Fortunately, the wound heals slowly and may Lala again just eat. Lala is not yet out of the quarantine, because the caregivers are afraid that she accidentally injured back her muzzle ,while playing with the other bears, .

New buddies

Shama and Mila have already joined the residents of Balkasar, these are Sohrab, Maylu, Babu, Bhoori, Kaali, Leela, Nita and Chowti (all rescued in 2011)

Chowti is the only fully blind bear in the reception, and she can also get along with the other bears but remains close to the feeding place.

Whales and the Research of Japan

Is it Research or pure murder

A moratorium, for whales, may be a solution.

But all countries have to work with each other, and form a united front against the countries that still, do nothing for the ever-growing mass of people who speak out against unnecessary whaling and hunting, please help and connect yourself, to a organization in your own country, which is committed against this terrible abuse and slaughter.

Let's work together, to ensure that our children's children, can not only admire these beautiful animals on a photo but also see them In real life.

Japan slaughter annually many whales under the guise of research, if you are doing research on whales, you do not need to slaughter them.

Research can also take place on a whale that died a natural death, perhaps you should wait a bit longer before you can do your research, but what is the hurry, what is it then emerged from the research that Japan takes a long time for years, I've never heard anything of what is found and what they can do with that information.

Eskimo people will kill a whale to survive, but Japan is doing wrong as they do not do this to survive.

Is it research as Japan says, or pure murder.

Reasearch or murder - Do you have a strong stomach for this video

This is how it is, PLEASE STOP THIS ABUSE - You have a strong stomach!

WWF and the CITES conference

Ivory

Thailand and its major role

Until March 14 sitting in Bangkok 177 governments together, the CITES conference is about the issue of trade and the trade in ivory and other abuses. Thailand has the largest ivory market in the world, and has great influence on the slaughter of tens of thousands of African elephants, the Cause? The regulation and sale of African ivory in Thailand is prohibited, but ivory from elephants native ("pets" that have died a natural death) may be legally sold. Entire criminal networks make use of this, so tons to sell ivory as African or Thai ivory.

CITES Strong measures to save rhinos and elephants

The WWF is calling on countries participating in the conference to take action against illegal wildlife trade, action should be considered sanctions against countries that do not comply with their commitment, under CITES. What are the Ivory concerns in particular the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria and Thailand, but also Vietnam named for the rhino issue.

WWF reiterates CITES provides that parties may decide to discontinue with countries that do not respect their commitments with regard to all trade around 35 000 animal and plant species. Covered by the Convention.

WWF reiterates CITES provides that parties may decide to discontinue with countries that do not respect their commitments with regard to all trade around 35 000 animal and plant species. Covered by the Convention

The numbers of illegal trade and poaching speak for themselves:

- In Africa, every year 10,000 to 30,000 elephants slain for their ivory

- 668 rhinos were slain in 2012 in Africa

- 128 rhinos were slain within the first two months of 2013 and is

   still counting.

The WWF find time over ripe, there must now be recognized that this is a serious threat, with a value of $ 19 billion per year, this trade to be addressed before it is too late.

My Personal opinion

and the story of my cats

I personally find the abuse and cruelty to animals, the most disgusting and repulsive activity, animals have rights just like us, and because animals cannot say that the abuse MUST STOP we must make our voice heard, I have loved animals my whole life, and taught my children to respect animals and love them, my opinion about this, brought to my children, and now I see that they also love animals, as much as I do, and they also find cruelty repulsive, we help animals in need where we can , and supports many different animal protection organizations.

With this lens I hope to add more attention and involvement of people, and if this lens would yield, this money is distributed among the animal welfare organizations that we are members of and contribute to for years.

My two cats I have now, in their young lives, even though it made misery, when they were a week old, they are just dumped into a container, and left behind like dirt, luckily someone found them and took them to the asylum, where they are examined, and soon after they wereplaced in a host family, my girls are brought up with the bottle, because they are dumped motherless.

Both cats have some left over injury due to the dump , the smaller of the two, suffered a broken tail, but luckily it does not bother her, and there is only a very small nod in her tail, my other cat, has an injury on account of her hip, which she continues to hold, if I do not pick her up the right way, she gives a scream of pain, so I try to avoid that and let her come to me, when she let me know she want to be picked up , I will do this in a special way, so I won't hurt her, in consultation with the vet is now determined which medications to take the pain away, and if there are any other options because I do not want my girls to suffer.

The release in nature of "Zolushka" Cinderella - An Amur Tiger

Video credit: You tube

Impressive images of Cinderella's release in nature, filmed on location in Russia by stationed IFAW staff.

Cinderella is an Amur Tiger, in the winter of 2012 she lost her mother, who probably killed by poachers Cinderella was collected in the rehabilitation center in the village of Alekseyevka, in eastern Russia.

Cinderella loves soaking; usually after a good meal - a rabbit or a pig - she goes to a stream in her home area and let them met into the water.

Cinderella was found with frostbite on her tail, (this is for tiger cubs often) and she was exhausted, the tip which is curled up by tigers so characteristic had to be amputated (5 to 7 cm)

IFAW worked with a lot of other organizations involved in the rescue of Cinderella: the Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and WCS all members of all these organizations joined forces to return to nature possible. for Cinderella

Cinderella in the rehabilitation center has two very important skills made: people out of the way and go hunting, these are two skills that tigers congenital, and during her rehabilitation Cinderella got the chance to develop it properly. Or Cinderella could be released was determined by a large number of experts in the field of Amur Tigers,

on the Victory Day May 9, she was eventually left free. Below here you can see the video how this release went.

Well done on making this lens. I have a FB page which is mainly about animal cruelty in the world. Recently, we had some good news about Japanese whaling but it's not over yet! There are many people in the world who are poorly educated and there are also many people who kill beautiful animals out of pure greed and stupidity! I want to start a company called "Hunt the Hunters" which would be much more fun that killing an animal who has no chance against a high powered weapon!

      https://www.facebook.com/trevor.barlow.73

My only squidoo lens so far is about a Nikon camera and I think if more people saw and photographed these animals it would be a better world for all of us! I have put a link to my page as you might find it interesting, I hope you don't mind!

I can´t understand why people hurt animals, but they also do the same with other humans. The good news is that there are more people that love life than the ones that don´t appreciate it. It is great to have lenses like yours that make people to be more conscious about this topic. Thanks for the lens!

It is not a very nice topic to read about but it is really necesary to become aware of this situation. I live in Venezuela and here in my country there is a bull fight PLAZA (arena). I don't like it but it is a tradition that came from spain. The good thing is that bull fights are not held that frequently here.

Hurting animals disgusts me to the core. We have had an issue in Australia with live animal exports where some abattoirs in Muslim countries make animals suffer before killing because the think it makes the meat tender. Some horrific footage has been shown of cows being tortured and having bones broken etc. This is a good lens to bring awareness to the unnecessary and horrible way many animals are treated, Good work. Amazing lens! Thank you so much for sharing. It's disgusting how animal abuse is an issue. It sickens me. Animals are living, breathing creatures who have every right to live a life in their homeland without the risk of humans hunting them.

Everything comes back to roost, though. Those who harm, will be harmed 3 times over in time. No justice system (or lack thereof) can do any better than Karma.

Would I be able to put this lens on my profile as a spotlighted lens, as well as share it on Twitter (not that I have many followers at this point, but hopefully they'll see it and spread the word) and Facebook? I would like to help spread the word, and this lens explains everything people need to know about animal cruelty.

I don't understand how some people can be cruel to their own pets. There was an instance in my area whereby a dog owner used plastic cuffs to tie the mouths of her dogs to prevent them from barking over a period of time until their mouths were bleeding. A neighbor complained about the cruelty and she was arrested. If people can't take care of their pets properly, they shouldn't be pet owners!
