My dog has food allergies and I've been trying to figure out a food that's best for him. What can you tell me about the brand name Core Wellness. It's an ocean formula for dogs.
Check your local small business pet shops. A couple of good food brand for dogs with food allergies are expensive but very good.
1. Blue
2. Prairie
3. Fromm
I would start off just with the small to medium bags to see if you dog has any reaction to any of the Brands.
My personal favorite for dogs/cats with food allergies is Prairie. It's great for all stages of life, works from the inside out, and if the dog is over weight it will bring them to their ideal weight and visa versa. I have used Prairie many times for my parents dog and cats and my own cats. It's one I will swear by and die by. It is pricy, but so worth the money because of the condition of your companion gets better and better over time.
If you follow the feeding guide lines you will notice your dog won't poop so much or as often, your dogs coat will start to get shiny and healthy looking, and the teeth will start to also look better. Prairie also has canned food and all natural foods such as raw meat. It is safe to give it to your dog once your dog is used to the food.
So your best bet is go to local small time pet shops (most of the best brands of dog/cat food for dogs/cats with allergies only sell to small business pet shops), look at the back of the bags and ask around. Start with only small to medium bags to make sure the food is agreeing with your dog and if your dog likes the food as well.
Good luck, and hope you find the brand that you and your companion enjoys.

Food allergies are tough to treat. You can try some brands that have formulations of duck/potato or rabbit/potato as these aren't found to cause allergies. That's the cheaper route. There are also prescription diets like Hill's Z/D which has found to be very successful in treating allergies. You just have to give the new food about 4 weeks before you'll notice a reduction in symptoms and know for sure that it's working. Good luck!

I had earning a long time ago but, somehow, they disappeared. I am a computer dummie so I gave up trying to figure out how to get it back. The first two times were very difficult and twice is quite enough -- so I have no account and I no longer make a dime (I did get two payments over the years,...

After the holidays I am going to go Gluten Free and Dairy Free to find out which I'm allergic to, and perhaps move on from there. I have done the Gluten free thing, which is not terribly difficult for me. I have mostly gone dairy free, but I'm not strict on it, and am rather partial to cheese,...

I have suffered with cough and headaches most of my life. I always thought it was just the way it is. I would cough until I couldn't breath. Sometimes I'd cough for twenty minutes at a time. Then after I turned fifty, I started having many symptoms that were heart and gallbladder...
