Here is the best answer on the web for getting rid of wasps.
Using a small brown paper bag, fill it with crumpled re-cycled plastic bags and gather the top and tie with a string. Leave enough string to tie to an outside over-hang. Just let the string dangle a little after securing (the bag will be at the bottom of the string).
The wasps think that the bag is another wasp nest and will not go near it. They keep their distance. I have used this for 3 yrs, only replacing the bag twice, and never have seen a wasp.
The bag can be tied anywhere outside - by the front and back door, a tree, fence - anywhere. Environmetally friendly.

So long - little wasps!
