They can say basic words like hello they can learn to imitate a humans laugh and telephone ring even. You can't teach it to speak sentances but its cool when they learn little stuff. I know our answers got deleted but make sure it's tame very vital.

Yes it does. they learn basic words commonly used however not all birds are able to do this. parrots definetly can but even try to find a smaller bird with these abilities if you want as the are easier to maintain.

I don't think very often I'm not sure though. Just make sure to cut its wings often so it cant fly away, and that its tame so it can go out of the cage. Do you know what I mean by tame?

just making sure just cause it's so important because you'll enjoy having a tame bird much more because it can roam outside the cage even in your backyard once its familiar with it and not fly away. Although clip its wings just in case. they're great
