Yeah they seem to bring a little of everything you mentioned that can drive you crazy until you look at those beautiful eyes and melt. Sounds like your allergic to cats which can really be irritating so I guess it's stick with the dogs or take meds
Training pups is definitely a pain but builds the foundation for such a wonderful friendship :)
The best dog I've ever had was adopted from the shelter. He had refused to eat the food there and was wasting away. He was trained and knew all of the signals for stop, bark, come, shhh, and up. We still miss him in the family.
That's all I'll have is rescue animals, there are so many that need a good home and most of them already trained:)) I'm glad you have adopted, it means so much!!
I couldn't bring myself to declaw my cat although I don't judge those who do it as a last resort.
Ahhh I also have dogs with white hair (and spots) and know exactly what your talking about. Up until 3 or 4 years ago I hadn't ever had a white dog and now wonder if the hair has been there all the time:) I always have a sticky lint brush with me
That's funny because as many times as I think what a pain they are, there are 10 more reasons to love them even more. Thanks
That is so awesome that there are no worst parts for you and that you see only the good. As with your pets, phenomenal unconditional love. Thanks
Thanks for not elaborating on the litter box issue:)) My dog barks when someone is at the door but gets quiet when I tell her to shhhhhhh. I think they are just trying to protect their domain and owners :) They are as you said so worth it though.
The pain is heartbreaking, but knowing that I am helping to save another (rescue cats and dogs) and the love they will get leads me to get another one.
I know I hate it when I have to leave my dogs at home and wish I could take them with me almost everywhere:)))
Wow I can't believe you have horses, goats, chickens, bunny, a cat and no dog! I have had them all and at one time had a collie and rabbits one of which used to play fetch with my collie. It was so awesome! He would even jump on the dogs back :)))
That is definitely one of the hardest and probably the most devastating for me, but as you stated so worth it.
So true so true........
