Do you believe dogs can smell cancer on a persons breath and if so why don't we use them more?

This question came to me after my 2 hound dogs began insistently wanting to smell my breath for periods of time, (very unusual for them). This normally wouldn't have been a big deal for me, but a test that was conducted showed I had pleural thickening and am in need of further testing for the obvious. Don't worry I'm not going to take my dogs word for it but after a lot of research I found that in Japan and in other countries dogs were proven to sniff out cancer 37 out of 38 times. There were other studies done that confirmed the same regarding diabetes. So what do you think?
