Can you steal eggs from your hens nests without upsetting them while they are on it?

I have no rooster so they can't hatch but I have one hen that just wants to hatch no matter what but I wondered if stealing her eggs could upset her to the point to stop laying? Should I not get the eggs from under her but try to tempt her away with treats? Or does it really make no difference?

So far the last two days I have managed to get the eggs, but I am new at this I didn't know. I sure would never mistreat them, I think I probably spoil them rotten. All I do is try to think of new things to feed them, lol. Thanks!

Oh, OK billy, I thought of asking you but didn't want to bug you on the weekend, so is the egg still good after how long of letting them set on them? She gets on a cold one to lay hers instead of an empty nest so there are two involved here, lol.

Well I would never eat one of my pets and that is what these three are and she is the only one that lets me pet her so maybe we can make a trade off, thank you! They are my 3 girls and I do talk to them every day of course, lots.

Gosh, now if I can just teach mine to climb a tree! J/K That sounds wonderful. This morning I only got one egg & it didn't belong to the setter! Guess she won't lay as long as she even thinks she has an egg. That one bad apple spoils the whole bu
