I have two chinchillas who live together and have been experiencing quite a bit of fur loss on...

their backs. At first I thought it might be ringworm, but after researching that, I don't think it is. They don't have any scabs or redness or anything like that. They appear completely normal other than the fur loss. It looks like somebody shaved mohawks onto their backs...they have normal fur everywhere else, and even down the middle of their backs, but the fur is extremely short on the sides of their backs. Do you have any idea what might be wrong with them, and/or how we can get their fur to grow back?
