My teddy bear hamster escaped her cage, and gave birth to 11 babies under my desk, I gave her some bedding and tissue to make a nest and some food, but I'm wondering when i can move them all back into the cage.
I know some books say not to touch baby hamsters, but I've handled a lot of them with no problem. Just be as quick as possible about it to cause them as little stress as possible. When I'm moving tiny hamsters I usually scoop up bedding and all and place it in the new location. Make sure you move mom at the same time.
