   I have a 9 month old female Pit Bull, I noticed vaginal bleeding about two weeks ago, and she...
   
   was acting moody and sleeping alot, the bleeding stopped a few days ago, but I noticed the area between her anus and vagina is very swollen, and she squats like shes going to pee, but only drops come out, and the fluid is pink, like maybe mixed with blood.... Shes walking around the house squatting, trying to pee(she is usually very good about not having accidents in the house).. I really need some info, she is the first female I've raised, so I'm not sure what to expect,

   Is she spayed? Unspayed female dogs menstruate just like females of many other species, and will continue regularly until she is spayed. She will also go into heat shortly after she menstruates and will have to be isolated from other dogs to prevent unwanted puppies and/or dog fights. If she is spayed and still having issues with bleeding, there could be some uterine tissue left that still triggers menstruation, but she should go to a vet to determine if that's the problem or if there might be something more serious.

   its pretty likely she is just in her first heat if she is not spayed. but if you are concerned or it seems like she is in some kind of pain i would take her to a vet asap.

   Most likely she is going through her first heat cycle. Swelling between the anus and vagina is a sign that dog will be going into heat soon. Female dogs in heat also give off a distinct, not so attractive smell, it's what attracts the males to them.
   If she is urinating and pooping regularly outside, I don't know that there is anything to be worried about. If you're still worried, call your vet.

   You should at least call your vet to see what he's going to say. It looks like menstruation, but you should call just in case. That way if this is only menstruation, you won't need to get an appointment or wait at the vet.

   She is in "Heat" and will be ready to be breed.  If you do noit want puppies--keep her away from male dogs.
