Cat Carrier Choice from the Feline Fashionista

Cats are carried around all the time in baskets and boxes. It's a fact of life and has to be accepted. But why carry a cat to the Vet in a common cardboard box? That's adding insult to injury.

A Cat Carrier is an essential item for all cat companions. Not just any old Cat Carrier of course. I believe it's possible to purchase 'cat crates' from Animal Shelters and suchlike and, while I heartily applaud this iniatitive, I prefer elegance to eco-virtue.

Take my advice. Think style!

A Gilded Cage - For Aristocats

Golden Carrier for Very Very Rich Cats
Golden Carrier for Very Very Rich Cats

Too late!

If you didn't pick yours up for a cool $11,000, it's too late now.

Only five of these golden cat cages were made and, unbelievably, they've all been sold!

I wonder whose cat has one of these?

A cat in a Gilded Cage

This is not a joke. This is a golden cage. It's made of powder-coated steel wire gilded in 22.5k gold-leaf.

A wee gift for the cat who has everything, for the absolute utterly rich cat who lives in excessive overabundance. Why should you care if half the cats in the world are starving? Flaunt your wealth!

The Gilded 22.5k Gold eiCrate, designed by Peter Pracilio, is an artistic round shape with a little round door. It has two secure locks in case the highly strung moggy has a panic episode.

Accessories include a cover and half-moon shaped fitted cushion. How can anyone not be persuaded?

A Cat should Travel in Comfort

If you're like me, you can easily associate travel with nasty experiences.

The appearance of the traveling cage means either a trip to the vet or the cat motel. But sometimes you have to travel. There's no way out of it. Surely you're sick and tired of those hard, plastic boxes with limited visibility?

I certainly am.

This cat (or small dog) carrier is a winner!

Don't Leave home without the Carrier pads!

Bergan Disposable Pet Pads, 4 pack

Yes, you shouldn't leave home in your cat carrier without convincing your human to provide you with these absorbent pads.

Let's face it. sometimes the anxiety connected with the journey has some embarrassing results but, with these little pads, you can feel better about your small accidents.

They fasten securely and, because they're longer and wider than the bottom of your carrier, they form a little wall all the way around. Nothing will spray or bounce.

The pads are also very durable and machine washable if you want to save some pennies when I spend a penny.

Take my word for it, you need these disposable pet carrier pads

Open Mesh from Whisker City - For the Sightseer

Would you travel in this?

Some cats like to see where they're going at all times.

I'm in two minds about this myself, there are some things I'd rather not see at all.

How can I ever forget that morning of horror at the Vets, unable to tear my eyes away from the slavering pit bull across the room? I still have bad dreams.

Available from.Whisker City Cat Carrier for $28.

Please allow your cat to vote - No individual cat will be identified

By allowing your cat to take part in this poll you agree that the cat is over 4 months old and is of sound mental capacity.

If your cat is too shy to show her preferences in front of you, you can leave the poll open and leave the room for a few minutes .

You may also vote yourself.

I like the sleepypod! This would be good for my cat Chedika as she hates her catcage.Whenever going anywhere she does in a small laundry basket. She doesn't make a fuss once shes in.

      Great thoughtful lens Vladi!

LOL! My grandkitties all have different personalities and would have a personal preference here. My oldest grandkitty would prefer the Open Mesh, he is our explorer and loves seeing everything. The middle kitty would prefer the Sleepypod. She would like the security it would provide. She doesn't like being carried and she doesn't like strangers. She goes to the back of her carrier now and doesn't look out. They youngest, is a Russian Gray and she is a "model" so she would definitely prefer the gilded cage. However, she would prefer to stick you in the cage and gloat :)
