Bichon Puppies - How To Care For Bichon Frise Dogs And Have A Bichon Puppy That Is Healthy and Vital

It’s important for Bichon Puppies to have an owner who is caring and conscious of the importance on their health.

If you see Bichon Puppies you will notice how dedicate in their movements and small in their size they are. This must not make you think that they are weak and fragile. On the contrary, Bichon Frise dogs are quite athletic and strong dogs. Making physical activities is important for them to keep themselves In good health. So what kind of physical activities are most suited for them?

Bichon Puppies enjoy very much running around and trotting, so if you have a backyard it would be a very good idea to let them trotting around. Anyway they will not exercise sufficiently by themselves only in this way.

The best activity you can make them do is making them walk at a moderate pace at least two times a day. This is most beneficial for them because this helps their heart, muscles and joints.

If you are able to commit to at least a walk two times a day, one mile each, the result would be a good level of activity for your Bichon Frise dogs' health. The more the better, of course, but remember always to try to find a safe location so that it will be possible for your Bichon Puppy to run off leash. A dog park is the best choice if available. If not, you can consider a friend's property or an empty schoolyard.

Professional Bichon Frise dogs trainers recommend to that you don't use extensible leashes. They are much more popular, but it will be better for your Bichon Puppy to use a plain nylon six foot leash. Bichon Puppies are much more comfortable with a plain leash, and it is also much safer. With a plain leash they will learn how to walk without always pulling, while on the contrary they will be constantly pulling on an extensible Leash. Also it would be possible with a plain leash to have a closer connection to your Bichon Puppy.

I rescued a Bishon frise dog, we think is about 4 years old. He is the sweetest, most loyal dog I have ever had. He loves me so much and follows me every step I make. The only problem I have with him is controlling the matting and tangles in his coat. He also has too many teeth and has chronic bad breath. When I brush his teeth sometimes his gums bleed, just like a human. I will look into professional teeth cleaning. Using great groomer more often now.

Our Bichon didn't like the extendable lead, always preferred the usual dog lead. How did he know the difference I ask myself. I miss him so much.
