Cat Tree Makes a Home

Updated on March 4, 2015

As a cat breeder and one who cares for their welfare I highly recommend that all cats be trained to stay indoors. That involves providing them the right furniture for exercise, comfort and a place where they feel more at home. You can do this with the right cat tree. My selection is this one which is a good height for any room, it has sisal to scratch rather than carpet which is less serviceable, and it is a good shape and will offer plenty of amusement. It also has a hiding hole and space for the cat to climb out of sight when it requires privacy,

The different layers represent what a cat would experience with trees in the outside environment. They can hop or jump from limb to limb and dangle upside down if they want. My kittens love to chase each other over the varying levels and they have lots of fun playing in this way.

Add to the fun by supplying small toys that they can cart around with them and pretend they are alive. Mine have little mice and fish and such that they toss into the air and race after to catch and repeat the game. While this unit comes with dangling toys they may not last so it is best to have others on hand.

This is truly a great piece of furniture for an indoor pet that does not require to be outside. It will quickly associate the unit with its needs and you may find it living the life of luxury as it enjoys its new source of comfort. The colour will easily blend with any d├ęcor.

We never had one of these when we had our cats but I bet they would have loved it!
