Being a pleasant green shade it blends in well with the surrounds and doesn't get glarey like lighter colors would which isn't pleasant for the cat on a hot sunshiney day.

It gives your precious cat some quality outdoor time, fresh air, sunshine and lots of area to observe, what could be better? With such an easy portable unit it can be erected in a few minutes and pulled down when not in use so what better Cat Lovers Outdoor Enclosures could you have wouldn't you just love to give one to your nearest and dearest, your cat?.

Who Is This Great Cat - My Smooch

To give you a break so you can think about a Cat Lovers Outdoor Enclosures product you would like to get for your wonderful cat, as all cat lovers would do for their cats comfort, I've put this great photo of my cat Smooch for you to admire.

Smooch belonged to other people who obviously never cared for him as he would come over my back fence each day when they went to work and being the softy I am I fed him of course. It hadn't been long before he started coming over that I had lost my other lovely cat so it was opportune that we met then. Soon after the people who owned him moved away and I couldn't get him desexed and microchipped fast enough, and like all the black and white cats I have ever had he is naturally a hunter so he has to have his ambitions curved for the safety of the local wildlife.

As a result of Smooch's killing instincts I turned him into a house cat with outdoor privileges by way of an enclosure and so it was I thought other cat lovers who valued their cat's comfort may wish to do the same and so I looked at all the ways to get Cat Lovers Outdoor Enclosures where you could see the diversity that's available and what would suit your needs.

I hope you like my Smooch as much as I do and that he made you smile particularly when he's looking this cute. Although he's older now, around 10 years, he still looks and acts young and can be quite forthright when you play with him if he's in a dominant mood, watch out for those claws then.

Poor Smooch isn't the best lately so I think I may have to get him one of those Pet Strollers to give him a bit more exciting life as I excercise he can watch the world go by.

Unrestrained Cats

My Toby
My Toby

This is my Toby, isn't he lovely?

Most people this day and age keep their cats in house, although like myself a lot let them out in the daytime and confine them as it gets near dusk unless of course they are the type that just can't help but kill anything they see, then these are definitely always indoor cats at my house, what about yours?

After some weeks now the voting is getting closer than it was in the beginning as they're now 57.1% for yes and 42.9% for no's so it will be interesting to see in another few weeks how things go, I'll keep you posted about the end of January on how it's going.

Smaller Cat Lovers Outdoor Enclosures

Happy Cats Smaller Areas

Most of these Cat Lovers Outdoor Enclosures are from Kittywalk who seem to be the biggest maker of smaller outdoor cat enclosures and therefore one that Amazon deals with the most. They do seem to try to make well designed safe and secure units that owners can use without worrying if their precious moggy is OK, however the firm does state that these units are not for "chewers" nor are they playthings for children and wild animals. Within these confines most of the products stand up well and the great part is that most of these small units can have other pieces of Kittywalk gear attached to them for a bigger outdoor exercise area. The ABO Gear one comes with the same functionality and warnings so ensure you keep an eye on your furry friend when they are outdoors in these enclosures.

Are Apartment Dwellers Entitled to More Than One Cat?

Many people in apartments and units that are quite tiny have multiple cats do you think this is fair to the felines or should there be only one cat in these situations?

More than one cat per apartment?

@ologsinquito2: Thank you so much for visiting and commenting.

    • ologsinquito2 4 years ago

Yes, so the cat doesn't get lonely. Maybe there needs to be an upper limit though. Most people won't collect cats inside of an apartment, but there's always someone who will.

    • MaureenCee 4 years ago

@Missy Zane: Thank you for your comment, and as long as there's enough personal space for each cat and they're not fighting each other I feel that's all that matters and your point is very valid.

I am sorry to take so long answering but I have been away for awhile.

    • Missy Zane 4 years ago

Yes, if there are high places (cat trees) so the cats can create the feeling of more room with vertical spaces. Each cat needs his/her personal space, but you don't necessarily need a big house to do that.

    • MaureenCee 4 years ago

@MissKeenReviewer: I'm with you on that one.

    • MissKeenReviewer 4 years ago

It's a matter of personal disposition and sound judgement.

    • MaureenCee 4 years ago

As long as they're taken care of and there's not too many it's OK.

NO. I think it's cruel in such small spaces.

@tonyleather: Hi tonyleather, do i presume by the tone of this comment that you'd prefer cats to locked up inside tiny apartments or houses and never get to see sunshine and grass? Do I also presume that it doesn't matter to you that they kill every bit of wildlife they can get so let's make animals extinct so these "free spirited" animals can do their thing? Or would you prefer to do what some people do and de-claw them, that's not cruel is it? Or letting un-desexed females out to breed all over the place, guess that isn't cruel either unless you've seen the devastation and extinction its caused.

My cats have a great time they come in and out all day and stay inside all night. The Magpies, Butcher birds and Pee-Wees have all learnt with my guidance to watch for the cat when I put food out for them as one in particular loves to terrorise them if she gets out but they just yell at her until she gives up.

        • profile image

          tonyleather 3 years ago

Why you want o do such cruel things to any free-spirited animal? I am sorry but I think this is genuinely hateful!

@ChristyZ: Thank you so much christy_rose It's most kind of you to visit my lens and I'm sure you'd live one of those strollers. I wasn't aware just what a variety of "stuff" was available for cats until I started looking for this lens.

I've never seen the strollers for cats, my daughter and I were just laughing, imagining us taking the cats for a stroll around the neighborhood. That's such a great idea for indoor cats that like to spend time outdoors. I'm going to get my cats an enclosure for the backyard this summers so it's great to see what type of products are available. :) Very nice lens!

I really want to get or build an outdoor enclosure for my indoor cats as I feel awful keeping them in as my first cat was an outdoor cat and love it but sadly he was attacked by a dog outside and I had to let him go the next day and it was devastating and I have feared to let my other cats out since. (They have never been outdoors yet). So this has given me some great ideas thanks :)

It's absolutely amazing what is available for pets, particularly cats in this day and age. I particularly like those swanky strollers they really tickle my fancy, look out cats. I think any of them would be so beneficial to somebody like yourself just so your cats get to see the outside world.

@Jo-Jackson: Hi Aussiewriter, thank you for visiting my lens and seeing just how much "gear" there's available for moggies these days. It's amazing how long well looked after pets can live isn't it and heartbreaking when as they must they die and leave us. It's probably time I thought of another "friend" for Smooch before he gets too old and grumpy.

I'm sorry I have taken so long to answer your lovely comments but I had some that just didn't show up, better late than never they say.

You sure have helped to educate me on the importance of enclosures for cats. I grew up in the country and was used to outdoor pets. That's different living in a city now. If I ever get a kitty again (I hope I do) I will purchase a some equipment for their safety. I love the idea of cats having some freedom, but with safe boundaries. - Very nicely done! :)
