Cesar Millan the Greatest Dog Rehabilitator
My Opinion and Impression of Cesar Millan
picture from the NG
First I would like to make a comment:
Realize that Cesar Millan's dog psychology is plain common sense! Think about it, does a dog want to be a human, does a horse want to be a human? So let's treat our dogs like dogs and love them with our human heart and allow common sense to make the dogs life more bearable with a calm submissive manner. I am a big fan of Cesar Millan since he first came on N.G. channel.
When I researched for information about Cesar Millan, I came across many blogs and forums, after having read these and finding misinformation on Cesar Millan, I decided to voice my opinion and make a lens...My first opinion, is on the people that write negative things about Cesar, they are JEALOUS...he is there, and you are where?...that is a difference. Most statements made about Cesar Millan are uneducated guesses and limited knowledge about what the person is talking about. Just because you own a dog does not make you a trainer, even some trainers should not be called trainers.
Cesar has a GIFT, he is able to read animals, specifically dogs, his dog psychology method is not new, it is common sense, I have done this type of animal behavior analysis for years, especially with my horses...just because it wasn't popular or by a famous person over thirty years ago, doesn't mean it wasn't good. The saying "you have to be at the right place at the right time" is what happened to Cesar. He has the personality, the knowledge and ability to make things work. That's not saying that it works every time, there were some unsuccessful times...but that's life!
I find it interesting that someone is always discovering something about a famous person and then making a negative issue about it. That without the true facts...unless you were there I would not believe a thing...the News Media included....I personally have never had an article written about me that was fully truthful, that's because they either misinterpret or just wrote what they felt.
I can not express enough on how I feel about Cesar's ability and gift of knowing how a dog thinks, we as human-beings tend to try to humanize a dog, they don't want to be humans, they want to be dogs...if we just kept this in mind, there would be less problems with our dogs from the start. It does not mean we don't love them because we can't spoil them... if you love them you show that you are the leader and allow them to be a dog with your leadership.
My impression of Cesar Millan the Dog Whisperer...He has a big heart and no one can take away that fact...he loves his children(family) and he loves his dogs and helping them. The facts stand for themselves, he has helped many people have a wonderful relationship with their dogs, including dogs lives that have been saved...so can you claim that?
What Cesar says and does...
Is common sense and simple.
If you're tense and nervous, your dog will be tense and nervous; if you project weak energy, your dog will know there's a leadership vacuum. Your dog needs exercise, discipline, and affection - in that order. Exercise means a long walk every day, not just hanging out in the back yard.
Your dog needs rules, boundaries, and limitations, the same way children do. Your dog needs to socialize with other dogs. Your dog needs you need to understand what it means to be a dog."
Learn from Cesar's Way
The lessons are so common sense and relatable to the circumstances. Great DVD's to help with what ever dog behavioral problem you are encountering... I have talked to so many people that have used Cesar's method and have had remarkable success.
Daddy has gone to Doggy Heaven - In Loving Memory
Image from Cesar's email Newsletter
All of us who are fans of Cesar and his dog Daddy, feel a sadness and mourn the passing of his most loyal, well-balanced, and trusting Pit Bull. Daddy was 16 years old and had some health issues, being treated for cancer he bravely went through chemotherapy. With his loving family the Millan's at his side, he passed peacefully into Doggy Heaven on Friday the 19th of February.
I personally will miss him...I felt he was one of the most amazing dogs, his calmness beyond comprehension, this for a Pit Bull that is always being spoken of as being mean and unchangeable.
Angel Daddy you can romp free of pain, chase whatever you like, sleep as long as you want and play with all your doggy friends that went there before you.

Puppy Junior - an introduction
Although this is not Daddy's own puppy, he bonded with him as if he were. This puppy named Junior, learned the ways of Daddy and has been found to have the same calm and instinctive manner. Junior is in place of Daddy with Cesar's confidence he is a great replacement.
In the NEWS...The Millan Family - Ilusion filed for divorce
I was saddened to hear Cesar and his wife Ilusion have decided to part ways after being married for 16 years. Initiated by Ilusion, who at the Los Angeles court, has filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences."
Legal documents show that Ilusion has sought the primary physical custody of the kids, Andre and Calvin, and Cesar will have visiting rights.
I don't judge them, I don't know them, and none of us know the real story, but sadly they fall into a category of divorce which is rampant in this country...I pray for their families healing.
As you can tell, I think highly of Cesar's method...it's common sense and humane.
