Updated on July 21, 2015

The Problem

As dogs get older, like humans, their joints become stiffer and cartilage begins to break down, causing the bones to rub against one another which results in a lot of pain and less functional joints. It is very important to help dogs maintain proper joint function and provide them with a supplement that will actually work.

I used to have a Golden Retriever and as she got older she had trouble getting up and walking around. I was young but I remember it like yesterday. Sadly I knew nothing about joints and our family just thought she was getting old. Little did we know we could of helped.

Some of the main ingredients in Cosequin come from shellfish which have been around way longer than we have.

I have managed a feed and pet supply store for over 10 years and have helped aid in providing customers with proper direction on health for their animals. I have carried Cosequin DS Plus in our store and sold it to hundreds of customers and the feedback I have got from this product is amazing. Dogs that limped or have trouble getting up are now functioning like they used to. It is also great for dogs whom played a little too hard the day before. You will see a difference with in a week or so of using this product.

Im writing this review because I care so much about pets and I want to help people gain knowledge on how to care for them and steer you in the right direction of a product that will actually work.

Description

Joint support supplement for dogs. Each chewable tablet contains: Glucosamine Hydrochloride 600 mg - Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate 300 mg - MSM 250 mg - Manganese 5 mg

How It Works

"The exclusive combination of TRH122® chondroitin sulfate, FCHG49® glucosamine, and manganese ascorbate in Cosequin works together to maintain the structure of your dog’s joint cartilage while slowing the enzymes that break down cartilage. Glucosamine hydrochloride acts as a building block of cartilage by supplying a key nutrient that keeps cartilage cells healthy and functioning properly. Chondroitin sulfate blocks the enzymes thatbreak down cartilage. Manganese ascorbate is added to help optimize the production of cartilage components. Cosequin has been used since 1992 in animals to maintain joint health. While the ingredients have been used separately, published controlled studies show the patented combination of ingredients in Cosequin is superior to using the ingredients alone." -Nutramax Laboratories, Inc.
