Cute Lovable Baby Elephant Videos To Share With Your Kids, Grandkids or Class

Updated on July 23, 2016

Cute Funny Animal Videos You Will Love!

Need a laugh or a smile? You've gotta see these natural comedians of the animal world. No human intervention or tricks; just comically cute and lovable baby elephants doing things human babies might do if they had four legs, a trunk and weighed 250 lbs. The youngest appears to be about a day old and the oldest, perhaps two weeks (I'm guessing). If you like funny animal videos, you'll love these. It's not just the way these adorable little pachyderms look; it's what they DO that makes these videos so entertaining and so much fun! If you enjoy the sound of children's laughter, watch them with your kids or grandkids. Ask 'em if the little pest in the 5th video down reminds them of anyone they know. When I'm having a lousy day, I remember these clips, and I've gotta smile. It's true! Email to cheer up a friend.

Elephants are highly intelligent and social animals as you'll see. Babies are doted upon not only by their elephant moms, but by other females too; grandmothers, aunts, and younger females who have not yet given birth. In many ways, they mirror human families. Watch these cute baby elephant videos and see if you don't find yourself Ooh-ing and aw-ing, AND chuckling out loud. Again, if you enjoy funny animal videos, you'll find few funnier than these! And such SWEET animals, too! Know someone who's been down lately? Or recovering from an illness? Perhaps still in the hospital? Send this link to anyone who needs cheering up. These will do the trick. Guaranteed!

Cute Baby Elephant Getting To Know His Nose - Super Cute Animal Video!

The cute baby elephant in this funny vid, perhaps no more than a few hours old, takes his first tentative steps and is having more than a little trouble getting acquainted with his own trunk. He's not quite sure what to make of it and seems on the verge of tripping over it! If you know someone who's feeling a little down, maybe got a case of the flu, you've gotta show that person this cute funny animal video! Got little kids or perhaps a niece, nephew, granddaughter or grandson who loves to laugh? Watch it with them and listen to the laughter! They'll want to play it again and again. I must've watched it a dozen times so far.

Cute Baby Elephant's First Steps

Cute Funny Baby Elephant Sneezes - Gesundheit!

This little guy seems to get a trunkful of something disagreeable as he walks along a dusty tract with his mom. Watch what happens and causes him to run to her for protection. If you like cute animal videos, you'll love this one; completely natural and unrehearsed. He lags behind to check out the crowd of admirers, but watch his little legs when the unexpected happens! As with the other humorous videos on this lens, sharing this one with kids or grandkids will brighten your day...that is, if you enjoy the laughter of children.

Brawn AND Brains!

With brains similar in structure to those of human beings, exhibiting a wide range of emotions, including grief, love, compassion, and altruism, and behaviors such as mimicry and "clowning" for their own amusement and amusement of others, pachyderms are also the only species other than Man to exhibit certain rituals when members of the family die. Playful Cute Baby Demands Attention

Family Tree

The Wooly Mammoth

Using DNA extracted from the remains of Wooly Mammoths long-buried, but well preserved, in the Siberian permafrost, scientists have been able to piece together a family tree which shows a somewhat closer connection between Mammoths and Asian Elephants than with the African variety, though all are indeed related. Mammoths and the African variety are thought to have diverged about 6 million years ago. But the Asian branch split from the ancient species a mere 5 million 6 hundred thousand years ago; a "blink of an eye in geologic time" as National Geographic puts it.

A fullgrown male Mammoth would've stood almost 11 feet tall at the shoulder and weighed about 6 tons with tusks about 7 feet long. It's estimated he would've consumed about 300 lbs of vegetation per day. Mammoths became extinct, about 10,000 years ago, it is thought, as a result of hunting by Man, disease, climatic changes, or a combination of these factors.

I watched all the videos. They are so precious. Another one I like is where a baby elephant tries to wake up a dog but can't. So cute.

Thank you,TolovajWordsmith. I agree. And the fact that they're not being coaxed by humans (except perhaps a bit in the last vid) makes them especially enjoyable.

Glad you enjoyed these, OldiesMusic. I think I've probably watched each at least a dozen times. I half-wonder if these "little" gals and guys know how cute they're being.

Baby elephants and human kids aren't too different from each other, attitude-wise. They can be really playful and demand attention. And they both enjoy the water (and mud as well)! Hehehe. So adorable... :)

Hi Nancy...I'm just seeing your comment now. Thank you! Fortunately, I did work on that lens...I mean, PAGE...last night. I was at first confused about the number of videos we are allowed to post. So, I deleted everything but two baby elephant vids. Then I found some old comments from HP users who said five was a good number to shoot for. I think I posted six. But, so far, it looks like that is acceptable. I had done the same thing (deleted videos) on my Uillean Pipes page...and then had to go and repost those, as well. Thanks, again!

Thomas, your videos are missing. In the transfer from Squidoo, that happened to a lot of videos. But I love the story, because elephants are one of my favorite animals. It's sad to know that they are killed for their tusks, and the body left to rot. Their relatives will mourn over the bones.

Great elephant videos! I loved this last one and I would really enjoy rough-housing with a little elephant. That would be extraordinary. The video with the newborn had some very interesting information also. Fun page..!
