Dog Hair Dye

Updated on September 05, 2014

Dog Hair Dye

Dog hair dye is the hottest new trend in pet grooming. With dog hair dye you can turn your dog's hair pink, blue, yellow, purple, green or all the colors of the rainbow. With a little more effort and creativity, you can dye your dog's hair to make your dog look like a panda, zebra or tiger. With these do-it-yourself non-toxic dog hair dye kits you can do it like the professions.

1. Do not use human hair dye on your dog. The chemicals can burn your dog, among other things.

2. Use a non-toxic dog hair dye.

3. Use a dog hair dye that is CTFA approved.

4. Do a test patch to see if your dog has an allegic reaction. You should not use on dogs with sensitive or damaged skin.

5. Do not let your dog ingest the hair dye.

6. Avoid contact with your dog's eyes. If the hair dye does get in your dog's eyes, flush with a lot of water for about 10 minutes.

7. If your dog has severe itching, discontinue use.

8. Use rubber gloves when applying the dye.
