Tips for Dressing Your Dog

Be sure to choose a yarn with a fiber and texture that won't be irritating or scratchy for your dog.

Aim for a fit that's snug but not tight. Too tight is uncomfortable and hard to get your dog into. Too loose and it can snag or even trip your dog. Even a little loose and smart dogs can undress themselves. Mine did!

Vintage & Antique Crochet and Knitting Patterns and Cookbooks

V

intage patterns make today's fashions, and in most cases are not only a bargain, but superior in design and style. It's only up to your own creative imagination to turn a black and while photo into a unique masterpiece in living color.

The Background of Vintage Home Arts

I started by selling my patterns and books on eBay. You'll see just a few listings below. I'm working on a website at VintageHomeArts.com , and I've opened a mall shop at MainStreetMallsOnline.com. I currently have about 1,500 vintage patterns listed, with thousands more waiting in the wings. Some of the categories are: vintage baby patterns, women's designer fashions, dolls, toys, doilies and motifs, florals, hats and bags and novelties. And of course whole pattern books and cookbooks.

If you have a request for a pattern, ask me, I probably have it. I could use about five workers cleaning and restoring patterns full time! Trouble is I can't pay them. So I plug along and try to remember that this started as a hobby.

If you're a crocheter, knitter or into old fashioned cooking, check out my items. They're hand selected with care.

~Nancy

Patterns are available from eBay as printed copies mailed promptly upon payment.

I don't knit or crochet but there are many who would love to get their knitting needles out to make a dog sweater for their little friend. I just had the thought that it would be cute to make matching sweaters for dogs and owners. I've already lensrolled and am about to feature on my I Want a Dog lens. Now this is cute, my security word is "gagwoof", Squidoo just seems to know the right one to use for different lenses.

@anonymous: It's working fine. First try refreshing the page, or try a different browser, and make sure you have a pdf reader installed (free at Adobe.com). If you do have a reader, make sure it's updated. That's all I can suggest, but the problem isn't on this end.

i was in the middle of cotemnming here this morning, and well, you know.I was gonna say the skirt looks so perfectly swingy! I have several vintage knitting books etc etc, but have felt kinda lost when it comes to knitted boy things. and why is it that the goodwill has so many more girl clothes than boys? not fair. For all of the crafty-goodness to be made, I can't help but hope for a girl next.
