Just the things for French Bulldogs!

That's my Teddy and he's a 4-year-old snuggly delight!
According to the American Kennel Club "The French Bulldog has the appearance of an active, intelligent, muscular dog of heavy bone, smooth coat, compactly built, and of medium or small structure. Expression alert, curious, and interested...Well behaved, adaptable, and comfortable companions with an affectionate nature and even disposition; generally active, alert, and playful, but not unduly boisterous."
It doesn't mention silly, adorable, bouncing bowling-balls of fun. But they are.
Here at our shop, Golly Gear, we're very, very familiar with the unique needs of Frenchies. It's not always easy to find a harness that fits that broad chest, toys that stand up to that bulldog jaw, or treats that won't pack on the pounds. Co-owner Hope has two Frenchies and is thoroughly addicted. She makes sure we have the best stuff for French Bulldogs. This is a short preview of some of our favorites.
The best we've found for French Bulldogs
We consider these products to be "must haves" for French Bulldogs. We've chosen them for their quality and suitability for the unique needs of this much-loved breed. A full list is available on our page: For Your French Bulldog.
The ComfortFlex Sport harness is our go-to harness for Frenchies (and other powerful, broad-chested small dogs). It's easy to put on, easy to take off, adjusts easily, holds securely, and distributes any pressure from pulling all along the dog's strong chest. One really nice feature is the leash ring on its own loop, up and away from the dog's back.
The Chillybuddy Winter Jacket is a super-warm puffy jacket for your little dog. It's easy to put on - there are hook-and-loop closures at each side of the neck and along the length of the back. There's also an adjustable pinch clasp at the neck. At night, your little one will be easy to see with the reflective stripes. Dax doesn't like wearing clothes and is notorious for scraping her coat off - but she hasn't managed to take her Chillybuddy Winter Jacket off!
Cooling Vest by Hurtta will help keep your Frenchie comfortable, even when active, on a warm day. Many "cool coats" are designed to drape over the dog while it stays still. This Cooling Jacket is designed for active dogs and can be "refreshed" by rinsing in water. Overheating is a danger for all short-faced dogs, but they need to be "out and about." The Cooling Vest is one way to keep your dog active in warm weather.
The Water Rover portable water bottle for dogs has a bowl large enough for a Frenchies' head to fit. We call my Frenchie, Teddy, "The Big Giant Head," and this was the only bottle that fit. Bringing water from home is always a good idea - either on the road or even at the local dog park, You don't know what other dogs have used a community water dish, what they've been digging in, eating, or exposed to.
The Harness Lead is a one-piece solution for dogs who pull, or try to escape from their harnesses. A one-time adjustment will provide a custom fit for your dog, and the innovative design gently tightens around the rib cage of a dog that pulls - not its neck. Unrestricted breathing is essential for a short-face dog and the Harness Lead will not tighten around the dog's throat.
Soft Snap Collar from White Pine Outfitters is the softest, silkiest nylon collar we've ever found - so soft that our collar-hating Frenchies haven't minded wearing theirs.
