I need to know the name of the best dog food that I can feed my adult dogs.
bull dog and pit bull?
I now feed them Purina Dog Chow. This dog food has been recalled.
Milk Bone - Recalled.
What food is best for my dogs health and coat?
Blue Buffalo Fish and Sweet Potato. It is what I feed my dogs. It has a very low ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 fatty acids (2.3 : 1) - very good for the skin and coat. I also supplement with some raw food.
A raw diet from 'clean' sources is the only safe thing to feed your canine children. Read these two books for the whole story and recipes-

Purina dog chow is a pretty good brand, but a better brand would be nutro or natural balance. Also a tip for getting a healthy coat would to be adding some raw eggs onto their dry kibble, dogs will not get ill from eating raw eggs.
Purina is horrible! I fed it to my dogs to and was ignorant to how bad commercial foods really are. I didn't know that the government has practically no part in regulating the low end store brands and for purina that is from the bottom "Dog Chow" to their more expensive garbage "Pro Plan" these products contain euthanized and diseased PETS! Isn't that unbelievable! Anyway to answer your question I would feed you pitty and bully something grain free because those breeds a muscular and they need all of the usable protien they can get. I would suggest Evo, Blue Buffalo wilderness, or Taste of The Wild. I feed my dogs Taste Of The Wild and I feed them on all Four varieties to give them some different flavors. When you research it you might find articles that talk about it containing ethoxyquin,as of march 2010 it does not.the company unknowingly was purchasing from a distributer who had already used it to preserve the ocean fish meal. TOTW rectified they problem promptly and removed old stuff from the shelves. That is one of the reasons I decided on this brand because it has been exposed and taken care of and I know for sure it doesn't contain any artificial preservatives. Another reason I like TOTW so much is because it is inexpensive- about $43 for a 30# bag... Which is cheap when your talking about premium dog food. Lastly my dogs absolutely love it!!!!! And they always have well formed stools they did have bad gas initially but that subsided in about2 months! Good luck I hope this helps!
