Do you own a dog? Yes or no?

Currently I have two dogs, a Labrador Retriever Whippet mix, and a Cockapoo named Suzie and Ladybug.

Anyways, to correct my post I guess. My dog actually just passed away within just over the last week, so now I just have the Labrador Retriever Whippet mix Suzie, since my Cockapoo is no longer here.

But she lived a good, long, happy life and I just try to think about the good times we shared together.

        So sorry about Ladybug,
Two Border Collie brothers here.  Much easier to deal with than one.  Farm dogs need to be socialized  and have a job.

Wow, that's awesome. I love pure white German Shepherds. It's a rare site to see, to say the least. My neighbors on my cul-de-sac actually have one, but besides it I have "never" seen another white German Shepherd in my life, and I've seen a lot of dogs. That's just awesome you own one. They're beautiful dogs.

Great choice in dogs by the way; I love Airedales and especially Wire Haired Fox Terriers.

I have a border collie cross.  He just went off to stay with his dog walker while I am on vacation. It is funny how often I find myself looking around for the dog when he isn't here! It's like every five minutes my brain says 'you can't see or hear the dog, he is probably up to something!'

Lol, I so know what you mean. When my dog is off, it's like I think that there's just got to be something up, until I realize that she's not even staying in the same place I am.

I have a black labrador retriever. There's also a Leonberger in my home.

I love black labs! I mean, I guess from my posts it's no secret that I like dogs in general, but since my dogs half black lab, it makes me love the breed even more.

Also, that's great you have a Leonberger as well. I've noticed that a decent bit of hubbers here on hubpages own Leonbergers. I've never really had a personal experience with the breed, but from what I've read and learned the Leonbergers are supposed to be oustanding dogs.

Yes, Leonbergers - and labs - are wonderful dogs! We've had two Leonbergers in our family, a female in the past and a male now.

It's been about 9 days since my dog, Loki, died (5/5/11). He was with me for about 14 people-years; I guess in dog-years, that would've made him about 98.

Really though, I don't know that I "owned" him. He most definitely had a mind and spirit of his own, but not really a voice; he could whine well, but I don't think I ever heard him bark - ever.

Anyway, I miss him. May he rest, peacefully.

Haven't owned a dog in 2 years.  I'd get one again, but I'd prefer it if he were handicapped.  My last one had too much energy, and now lives on a ranch with his real family.

I own a cavalier shih tzu called Riley... he's nearly five now and still has the energy of a puppy!
