Senior dogs do have special needs. They have additional medical problems, and they may have trouble with mobility. Special supplements for senior dogs may be required. But senior dogs and cats have so much to give.

This lens is dedicated to helping the old boys and old girls that are the canines that have been so loyal to us for so long.

How To Know Which Product to Choose

If Your Older Dog Has a Lot of Needs and You Want to Buy Wisely

I worked hard to choose great quality products that will help you with your senior dog. Which product you choose has to do with whether your dog is very disabled, overweight, has any other health idiosyncrasies or personal quirks.

Consider the following:

  • While We all Want Bargains, and I Aim to Find Inexpensive Products, Cost is not the Only Factor in Choosing Products for Your Dog
  • If You are As Likely to Fight Heat as Cold - The Coolaroo Elevated Bed might be Best
  • The K and L Electro Kennel Pad is perfect with most dogs with arthritis
  • The Snoozer Car Bed is Perfect to Help Your Dog be Secure as well as Safe in the Car
  • The Orthopedic Memory Foam is the Most Expensive Dog Bed - but it Comes with Extra Covers and Is VERY comfortable for Your Dog
  • The K and H Bolster Couch or Cuddle Cubes are more inexpensive, but still very Nice Beds
  • Most Dogs start to Be troubled with Hip Problems as they Age - the Steps are Essential
  • Both Steps I featured are Very Good - Base your Decision on the Size of your Dog and Personal Needs and Preferences
  • For a Dog that Needs more Assistance, the Lift and Lead and Hip Hammock are Great
  • The Hip Hammock is twice the Price of the Lift and Lead, but it is more Sturdy . It was designed to meet the needs of one particular Golden Retriever with problems, and may be Just what the Doctor Ordered for Your Dog with Hip Problems
  • Solvit 62316 Waterproof SUV Cargo Liner will really protect your car, and keep Your dog More Contented on Long Trips
  • Having a Ramp like the Pet Gear Tri-Fold will Save your Back and Keep your Dog More Comfortable
  • Any of the Pet Foods I featured are High Quality - Important Because Many Dogs Will Reap Big Health Benefits with the Right Foods
  • Natural Balance was recommended to me for my dog Buckwheat by a holistic veterinarian from Marin County, I had taken him there to help with some chronic health problems - and nutrition was definitely part of the answer. Buckwheat uses The Natural Balance Grain Free Limited Ingredient Diet Fish and Sweet Potato Recipe.

  • Omega Fatty Acids are Essential for All of us, and Dogs Love this Oil - plus the Pumper bottle Makes it Easy
  • Chews are a Great Way to Get in additional Nutritional needs
  • The Portion Control Feature of the Petmate Automatic Dog food Dispenser will Help you Not Over Feed Your Pet

All of these Products were Chosen to Make Your Old Dog Happy and Healthy, and Your Companionship More Enjoyable. I Love Shopping on Amazon Because there are Many shipping options - sometimes Free - and there is a fair refund policy

Okay, my three pooches aren't quite senior doggies yet but they're no spring chickens either. This was a really interesting hub and a good idea for a topic.

Yes, I have a senior beagle. This lense means so much to me. Much like you, my dog has had health issues. He's almost 15, has mobility problems. Spend lots of money to ensure he has what he needs. I too have my dog sleeping on memory foam bed. Sounds like you've gone through a lot of what I've been dealing with.

I keep him on all-natural things, and it seems to work. Personal note, the best thing I've tried with him is something known as Marine Phytoplankton. I just wanted share this from one dog lover, to another. My dog has done things he hasn't done in awhile. Really great lense.
