How to Give Cat Care in Your Spare Time
Raise a cat with advice from experts
How to Give Cat Care in Your Spare Time. My family decided to raise a cat we weren't sure what kind of cat we wanted we knew good cat care was important. We decided to start at the local humane society to see what kinds were available. It didn't take long, we saw her she was about 6 months old and that she had been living with a family that had small children and it had not worked well ad she did not have good cat care. We could tell she was special she was a Russian Blue and very active and talkative. In fact when I went near her in the kennel she was saying she had a long vocal story to tell. It began with take me home with you, I need you please give me good cat care.
It was the Christmas season and for once in a longtime we had a live tree in the living room. She immediately climbed from the bottom threw the middle of the tree and perched herself on a thick branch. She was kind of shy and was not certain she could trust us or the children. Finally, after dinner was over she decided that she would settle down on my lap and watch TV with me if I would just pet her and move slowly.
The days went by and she slowly became accustomed to her new family. In fact, she decided to take charge of us and make sure we were doing this according to her plans.

Getting a Name
Getting a name is not always easy, at the shelter she was called 78673 not exactly something special. After much thought we decided that Annabelle was a fitting choice. She was so young at the time we first got her that she had blue eyes. You can actually see how blue the were. They have since changed to a kind of yellow color.
Annabelle is a very active and agile cat, she is continually playing with toys, drapes, and especially loves a rolled up garbage tie. She will bat the tie from one end of the house to the other. She flips it into the air watches it land, then pounces on it bouncing and leaping across the room. She is full of vim and vigor and acts like the kitten she was when we brought her home all those year ago.
One of her morning activities is to lay next to the double French doors that open on to the balcony. There she wait patiently for her bird to arrive for their feeding at the bird feeder attached to the railing. She is a wonderful pet, as predictable as the chime on our clock.
Another one of her quirks is that she will only drink water from a milk jug in the kitchen sink. One day my husband rinsed a milk jug in the sink and filled it with water. From that day forth she will only drink from a jug in the sink. Since the sink is a single bowl, when she is hungry and wants canned cat food she lays in the sink in wait of any unsuspecting victim. She them leaps out of the sink and cries next to her bowl, until she is given any kind of fishy food. She does not and will not eat chicken, beef or any kind of food moist or dry that is not fish.
No, she is not finicky she is ANNABELLE!
