Basic Doggie Ice Cream Recipe
1 small container of plain or vanilla yogurt (175 grams/4ounces)
1 ripe banana
2 ounces (4 tablespoons) filtered water
Blend all the ingredients together and then fill up dixie cups and put a treat stick in each one (optional). Then let freeze in the freezer. See, I told you it was EASY.
Now, for those of you worried about the yogurt because it's a dairy product. Know this: yogurt has much less lactose than regular milk and the live cultures are great for your dog's digestive system. Still worried? Try goat's milk yogurt. That has even less lactose and because the milk particles are tiny it's easy for dogs to digest.
You can also add additional fruits or vegetables to make your dog more yummy flavors to try. See below for another version with peanut butter - a dog's favorite!
