Why Use A Dog Crate?

Here are uses for a Dog crate

A dog crate is one of the accessories that I believe is almost imperative for any dog owner. Once you have your puppy or dog crate trained, then you always have a safe place for him or her, whenever you need it.

A dog crate can be moved to any area you want in a moment and has a lot of uses. For example:

* A crate is a very helpful training tool.

* You can use your dog's crate as a good place for feeding - especially if you feed raw bones. You always know where the "leftovers" are and can remove them before they get smelly :-)

* You always have somewhere safe to keep your dog, and it is easily transported if you are away from home.

*A dog crate can be a god-send if your puppy or dog gets injured and needs to be confined.

* It can be a "infirmary" when your dog is ill.

As long as you do your crate training in a way that your dog loves to be inside his crate, this is a tool that makes owning a dog so much easier.

And, I also believe that a dog crate is just as (if not more so) important for cat owners, for all of the above reasons and more.

Dog Crates For Cats?

Yup - Most Cats Adore Having Their Own Space!

And, I also believe that a dog crate is just as (if not more so) important for cat owners, for all of the above reasons and more.

Especially if you have an indoors cat, it is extremely helpful to have somewhere your cat feels safe, to be able to put him or her. For those days when you are in and out of the house, when there may be visitors or workmen coming and going. You can rest easy knowing your cat is safe, sound and happy.

A special crate for your kitty's night-times are a boon when your are sick and tired of those 2.00am "zoomies" and just need a full night's sleep.

If you get a large and roomy crate, you can put in a comfy cat bed inside, along with a small scratching post, a litter tray, toys and more. Feed your cat inside to let her get accustomed and make it really homely and comfortable. It will become a place she loves to go, and will not resent being in there when you need her to.

This roomy crate is great, with it's two separate doors. Because sometimes, things will only fit one way and if there is only one door - it can be hard to get in to.

While there are many people who use crates and swear by them, I got my Olivia from a puppy mill that was shut down and I would never even consider putting her in a crate. She spent the first 7 years of her life in a cage and I swore I would never do that to her again.
