Gifts for Dog Lovers - Handpicked by a Dog Owner
Picking out the best gift for a dog owner
Picking out the perfect gift for a dog lover won't be hard for you as I'm here to help you! I am a dog lover (and a cat lover as well :). We've had dogs in our family for generations, we had small breeds, large breeds, hunt dogs and lap dogs. I've grew up with a Samoyed and Scottish shepherd and now our family shares the house with a shelter mutt Rina a presumably Lhasa apso mix breed.
All of the gifts here were hand-picked by me and I would be more than happy to receive each and every one of them and so would other dog lovers. I featured both the product the dogs can use as well as just dog related product that are meant for the owner to enjoy - whatever you choose will make a great gift.
Photos on this page are either taken by me or are public domain photos, unless otherwise stated.
Dog Toaster - A Unique Gift every Dog Lover will Love - Go with a paw or even with some of the breeds - Bulldog, Boxer, Chihuahua, Collie, Golden Retriever, Pud
Not only am I a dog lover I'm also a toast fanatic! I could eat it all the time and as soon as my toaster breaks this is the one I am getting (I will also be hinting this is the thing I want in case someone get's the tips and gifts this to me for Christmas ;).
It will knock them out of their socks!
What I like about this one the most, besides the fact if will most definitely make jummy toasts, is that it's a useful one and it can be really personal if you choose the dog breed your friend (or family member) has.
There are many breeds to choose from but if you can't find the right one you can still get the I love dogs one with cute little paws and a bone.
Treat a dog with a Treat - A gift for the owner the dog will enjoy
Have you ever heard of a dog who wouldn't love treats? I sure didn't! Our dog would do almost everything for a treat, if you show her a treat and don't give her the command she will do all the tricks in the book and repeat them until you either give her the treat or put it away. Fun times!

Dog Treats Recipe Book - They will enjoy making treats for their dogs
It's the same with humans and dogs - the healthiest food and treats are the ones you make at home and while I don't make the regular meals for my dog at home I did a few batches of dog cookies already and it's a fun thing to do (and healthier and more budget friendly).
A cookbook will give any dog lover lots of ideas for the home baked goodies their pouches will greatly enjoy.
Dog Gift Baskets - Also perfect for a new puppy in the home - A gift for the owner and the dog
Gift baskets are another gift that is greatly appreciated as they pack a lot of goodies dogs and people will enjoy.
While these are cool for any occasion there isn't a more perfect one than welcoming a new puppy into the family.

Dog-Opoly - A Dog Lovers Monopoly Like Game
If you are getting a gift for a family of doglovers why not give them a board game? Dog-opoly is a Monopoly based board game where you don't buy properties but dogs! Adorable.
A few more handpicked dog themed gifts - Cool items dog owners will enjoy
A fun mug is always a welcomed gift. I've got my Lhasa Apso mug and a smart dog glass and I love them both.
You could get one with a puppy on it or with a funny writing such as this one - I think this one will be appreciated by woman owners as we sometimes do kid we are the mothers of our pups.
A comfy and stylish pillow also makes a fine present.
A lovely nightshirt is another gift I would welcome with open hands as it's something I can use, it's fun looking and it's personal.
Christmas Gifts for Dog Lovers - As it's the season to be jolly!
I've also picked out a few festive items for those of you who want something Christmas themed.
An ornament of their dog breed will make them really happy. You can get them for almost every breed known to man kind. I think this angel Labrador retriever is quite cute don't you?
Another fun thing to give is a Christmas themed stocking - again you can go with the breed or you can get one with paws, bones...
