skunk odor CURE!

Master Groomer reveals TRADE SECRET RECIPE for SKUNK ODOR

Have you been searching for a quick, easy and above all cheap method of ridding your dog of skunk odor that you havnt already tried? Chances are that over the years, you have tried many, if not all, of the products and home remedies available. Most are costly, messy and just irritating to the dog as well as the owner.

Washing a stinky, skunked, dog in your bathtub is quite a challenge, even for professionals, but add tomato juice, vinegar, peroxide or chemical products, and you can only expect the worst. I have been grooming dogs for 23 years and discovered this remedy a few years ago.

Recently, my own dog was sprayed directly in her face and was in a lot of pain. It was 2:30 in the morning and my family was in from out of town... it was no problem though, I knew exactly what to do. After a salt bath, she was back to normal, even sleeping on my bed. I am giving you my trade secret and lifetime of experience...all you have to do is try it. The best part is that it costs practically nothing and works the very first time, without the use of harmful chemicals, and it is so easy!

What I do is dilute some dish soap by mixing it with water( any brand is fine). I use an empty milk jug or shampoo bottle from the recycling to make it easy to pour into the coat. I would guess about 1/2 cup soap per gallon... I then add salt into the diluted soap, about 1/4 to 1/2 cup per gallon. I shake well and apply the soap/salt solution directly into the skin and coat saturating completely. After the dog soaks, rinse thoroughly, and VOILA' the odor is gone.

The main thing is that the dog gets a good washing in sudsy, salt water. (If the dog gets sprayed in the mouth or eyes, just use a little plain salt water to rinse. You can follow up with a little conditioner but of course, to achieve the best results, always brush and dry the coat thoroughly after the bath, ( please leave a comment and let me know how it worked after you have tried it)

If you like this recipe, then you should try THE BEST skin and coat products in the world. Used by TOP pet grooming professionals to handle the best show coats to the worst chronic skin and coat issues including hair loss, itching, shedding and odors and will improve any skin issues. Used by top professional groomers and show dogs around the world, including Oprahs groomer, Groom Team USA and many thankful dogs that were suffering with chronic skin problems. You will never use anything else again and your dog will be so thankful, talk to you soon. Kimberly Matalas

Mix was sprayed a few days 5 in the morning..I Google searched what to do since I grew up in the city of Cleveland and now in small town didn't know what to do...I did the proxide mix at 8a.m. when a store opened...the next day still smelled...then I found ur mix...just tried it and his body is skunk free..but...just smelled skunk again...using my nose..I realize that the smell is coming from his nose and face area...the mixture was great on his body...but what can I use safely on his face?? It's going into the 4th day...any feedback will be appreciated

Thank you for this information. My dog got it last night. How the baby got in our yard is a big ? I was skeptical about using the recipe with the peroxide and baking soda, especially 3 or 4 times. This really worked. As soon as she is dry I can let her in the house.

Thank you this solution works better then any concoction we have tired in the past!! I used this at 6am and when the kids woke up at 7am then did not smell anything. Washed my dog one more time in the evening around 7p and you never smelled any skunk oil flare up. Best stuff ever

Thanks for sharing your remedy with us. Our dog got sprayed and within 30 minutes we had him bathed and back in the house. Now, we just have to put up with the smell still being in our backyard. Having a cup of coffee now and can relax because of your webpage. Thanks.

We got it times two last night - a beagle and a St Bernard! I've used Tomato Juice in the past which helped but required two baths and still there was some lingering odor. Thank goodness the dog was black. My son found this and we gave it a try about an hour after they were sprayed. They are still a bit smelly - mostly around the face - but good enough to let back in the house. Thanks for the tips.

Read your post an hour after we rinsed our cat. We got the initial rinse almost immediately. Then we tried your remedy. WORKED! Now we are worried about scratches from the cat. She has rabies vaccination, but WE DON'T. It was a terrific remedy, anyway. THANK YOU!

Thank you very much for your helpful remedy. My dog was "skunked" last night (2009/08/04). My wife and I tried your remedy and discovered that it successfully banished the odor. Thanks again.

I agree that washing the dog ASAP is important but I have used it after the owners bathe in tomato juice and waited a day or so and it works just as well. Thank you all for trying my method and giving your comments! It makes me feel great that I am helping the dogs!!!

Worked great, thanks for posting your solution to the skunk smell. I have a white shepherd and did not want to try tomato juice fearing it would stain. Anyway, your mixture worked great the first time and I think doing it as soon as possible helps.

I'm also a groomer, and in my experience, slsear, the longer you wait to use the correct skunk odor remover, the harder it is to remove. The oils soak into the skin.

My dog got sprayed Friday night. We washed him with shampoo and tomatoe juice as well as tomatoe paste rubbed right in. It helped but did not eliminate the odor completely. Last night I saw your post and tried the salt water diluted shampoo. It really didn't do anything more. He still has skunk odor.
