Squeak The Wonder Kitty

Updated on January 15, 2013

The Adventures of Squeak The Wonder Kitty

My wife went to Starbucks after church one Sunday with her friends Debbie and Patti. The only thing that was different about this trip was that they brought a cat carrier with three little kitties in it. The plan was to give them away. I decided to check out what was happening, so i went inside and ordered a Grande Carmel Amacchiato and then came out to sit with the girls.

Lots of people were stopping by the "cat table" to check out the adorable little kitties. Two of them were pretty ordinary looking kitties but one of them was a black and white "Tuxedo" girl and she caught my attention; so much so that I reached over to pick her up and take a better look. (Big mistake!). It was love at first sight and I told Debbie that I would take this one. Debbie was very happy and said that she would drop her off at our house later in the afternoon.

HOW SHE GOT HER NAME

This cute little "Tuxedo Cat" got her name because instead of meowing she made this cute little squeaky sound. Every time we picked her up, in fact, she would squeak. So we decided to call her "Squeak".

A MAJOR ENCOUNTER - Meeting BooKitty

The only forseeable problem was the fact that we have a Beautiful 16 pound long haired black cat at home named BooKitty. Since Squeak only weighed in at a fraction of a pound, BooKitty out weighed her by 20 times. He has his own Squidoo Lens HERE. When they first met, Squeak arched her back and hissed at BooKitty and it took a couple of days and when Boo had had enough, he grabbed her, rolled over and used his back legs on little Squeak.....we honestly thought it was the end of her, but Boo was just trying to be friends. Then they started playing together every day. She would attack Boo and they would roll over and over (she actually got lost in his fur) - it was really fun to watch.....

AN OBSESSION WITH WATER....

Ever since I first met Squeak she has had a desire to hang around the bathroom while I'm taking a shower. She will sit in one spot patiently until I'm finished. One time she was laying inside of one of my slippers, watching me (no camera, darn!) . She also is fascinated with flushing toilets and will peek over the lid until the cycle is finished. I've tried successfully to coax her into the shower after the water is turned off and she shakes her paws after each step on the wet tile surface.

She also likes to dive into an empty bathtub and play with whatever toy my grand kids have left in there....:)

SQUEAK TAKES OUT MY CAMERA (video) - She knocks it to the floor..........

I was innocently filming my kitty named "Squeak" when she took a swing at my camera and knocks it to the floor.

We should have named her "Surprise" - She always looks surprised.......

One characteristic of Squeak is that she has this continuously surprised look.
