Susan and Oreo

Updated on September 4, 2012

Softly Riding Oreo

Source

Susan called and softly cried.

Susan's voice so softly cried, she is losing her Oreo. Her beautiful white and black Horse was dieing of cancer.

The day is hard

Her mind is weak

How does she say?

"Oreo is leaving us

You see

Oreo doesn’t have a whole lot of time

She is dying of cancer."

Susan's heart was broken

She was so full of love

The tears were coming, great gulps first, choking her, feeling like she was dieing herself.

Oreo makes me feel

She never slows down

She won’t turn around

Don’t cry that first tear

Susan don’t cry

You will see her again

What a special Horse

Oreo has been

She rides so smooth

She rides so swift

She stands in the rain

She waits just for you

This broken heart

"Help me!" She cries

‘Oreo, I remember the beginning with you

No one told me I was going to find

The most amazing horse like

You!"

‘Oh Oreo what you did to my heart!’

"When I lay Broken

you fixed my heart

My love for you

is so endearing!"

Susan You Have My Heart

Source

Oh broken hearted

"My master Susan"

‘Don’t cry

‘Oh we are free

You and me’

"Master Susan,

You won my heart,

Whenever you need a friend

I will be there,

Even if you are miles away

I'll be there."

Susan's Oreo

Source

The sun will shine

The moon so bright

And I will be there

In your

Heart

‘Like a nerve you are struck in my

Brain, oh my Sweet Master Susan.’

Hearing your voice is like eating

Grain

My soul is a little bit heavier

But I know

And you know

That we will be

Oh the world doesn’t

Understand

Only the love of the

True

Believe the truth of you and me’

How will I manage without you Oreo?

Here in the hillside

Of Colorado

With a song in our heart

My love for you will always be

Susan’s Oreo

So glad so true

What a heartache

Nothing but a heartache

Oh Lord,

Why all the heartaches?

I pray

"Oreo, I will see you again!"

Someone cared

For Susan and Oreo

This is dedicated to My Sweet Special Friend and Sister Susan and Her Precious Oreo

Oreo is a female horse I later saw, from Susan's lovely message to you. (I tried to fix my mistake on the comment above, but my Internet was slowing down...and oh, the countdown!)

What a sublime bond both Oreo and her mistress Susan have shared. I've read in a book that pets/animals do meet up with their owners in a place in Heaven. All we could do is to celebrate the happy moments of our pets even in their passing away and keep those memories alive 'til the day that God brings masters and their pets together again.

What a beautiful poem tribute for Susan and her handsome dear Oreo! And like the lines where the horse speaks to his master, that brought me to tears; so touching. Bet that is what's in Oreo's mind. Oh boy, and I only have two pieces of tissue left in the box, lol.

I can't speak, I am spellbound by this beautiful tribute to a horse named Aero and her master Susan. How sad, yet think of all the great times they shared together. They were one as they met the wind on their fantastic rides together. Forevermore to be cherished, they will meet again on the crossing over and they will be one again. A brilliant piece, I smiled as I read your last words and at peace.

What a beautiful ode to Oreo and her mistress Susan. I am heartened that in related near death experiences, animals are also viewed in that tunnel of light. Why not? We are all creatures of God. Blessings to Susan and Oreo and to you for being such a good friend in Susan's time of sadness.

What a lovely heartfelt tribute to your sister's horse Oreo. It brought a tear to my eye, as it brought back so many memories of when my daughter lost her pony Robin. It was five years ago, but seems like yesterday. Your words are beautiful and capture the love that Oreo had in his time on earth. Voted up and beautiful.

Where do I begin, sweet friend? Your mastery of words has captured me and Oreo, the gist of our lives together, into a solid piece of Poetic Grandness. I thank you for seeing beyond the majesty of tears.....that there is beauty in our world where even a mistress and her horse, forced to pull a part due to illness, can still be a moment treasured because in the end, you know, there is really no Death between you....only a temporary separation before you re-joined in the Kingdom of God who re unites all Masters/Mistresses with the animals that shared such existence.

Thank you Deb for memorializing Oreo and I in such beautiful, majestic words....straight from a heart such as yours that doesn't need to have known me in person (or Oreo for that matter) TO instill such moving, touching sentiment. I can't thank you enough or tell you the time spent writing this ....you are an amazement and a Gift from God for sure, this friendship....I shall always cherish you as I will always forever be indebted for the Poem you wrote in honor of the friendship and Love I share with this Special Horse, named Oreo.

Thank you Deb. I shall read it to Oreo today. I know her noble eyes will peer into mine and she will know she is loved and honored in life as in words. From your heart to mine to hers...you have graced us with your talent and goodness.

      ~ Susan
