Tiny Chihuahua, Big Personality
When we first brought home tiny Tito he weighed under 1lb and could sleep in our hand, not hands, just one hand, that's how tiny he was. He soon tripled his size and with that added 3lbs (yes, he's still tiny) and he grew a very large personality.
He enjoys rough housing with our older cat and can command the room with his tiny, yet loud, howl. His favorite toys are actually our kitty's catnip scented mice. Thankfully she doesn't mind sharing. Tito is also very careful to watch our feet at all times, it helps us from accidentally kicking or stepping on him.
We didn't think we were small dog people, but now we can't imagine our lives without the laughter he brings to it.
Tito came from a Responsible Breeder
Check out breeders and rescues for healthy dogs
Don't buy your pets from pet stores. Look for a reputable breeder or even better a rescue. Pet stores have overpriced pets that often come from puppy factories where the moms and dads aren't always treated in a humane manner. Reputable breeders truly love their animals and will give your puppy the best head start it can get. Here's a link to more information on selecting a breeder: http://www.inch.com/~dogs/breeders.html
Tito's Favorite Things to Do
Little Dog, Giant Personality
Tito enjoys playing fetch with his mini tennis ball, but once he fetches he doesn't want to give it back. He likes to tease you into thinking he's going to hand it over only to bound away. He loves this form of "keep away".
He also flips over his Zhu Zhu pet collection. As soon as he hears their little squeaks he is on them. He likes to stop them from moving any more and gather them up into a pile on his dog bed.
After finishing a meal, Tito needs to clean his teeth by chewing on some of his favorite soft toys. I've never seen a dog do that before, but it's very smart!
Zhu Zhu Pets - These little guys drive Tito crazy
These aren't really dog toys, so you want to supervise any play if you introduce them to your animal. Tito does not have the jaw strength to chew up the electronics, but he does have hair that could get caught in the gears, so we are very careful when we bring these out.
Proceeds from Zhu Zhu Pet puchases go to Hero Dogs! Thanks for your support. :)
Tito Picking on his Big Sister - Don't worry they are playing
Tito found a fast friend in our older cat, Pandora. She will tolerate him picking on her for a little while before jumping to higher ground. Don't worry he's not hurting her, she can easily get away. She is very gentle with him and will seek him out to rile up from time to time. The end of the video was a surprise. Tito will dig at blankets like this, I'm not really sure what he's trying to accomplish, but it makes us laugh. Chihuahuas are very good at making their loved ones laugh.
Tito was named after a Burrito
His name came pretty quickly to us
My husband wanted to call little Tito, Burrito, for the way he liked to tuck himself into the bottom of our t-shirts or be wrapped up warm in a blanket. I thought we'd feel silly calling him to come inside with that name late at night. So Burrito was shortened to Tito and the name couldn't fit him any better.
Tito is the best snuggler ever!
A Big Snuggler
Especially in his dog Snuggie
Tito and I love to snuggle. He loves to be warm and will often sleep on top of our other pets to keep warm. If he has the chance he'll dive under the blankets and press himself as close as he can to us.
He also loves to snuggle, we'll watch a movie curled up snug as bugs in a rug in our respective Snuggies. Yep, Tito has his own Snuggie, he is just that secure in his manhood. With the cold winter months, Tito likes to sneak in under the comforter to stay snugly warm.
A few of Tito's favorite things - Keep your puppy warm and support Hero Dogs!
This blue sweatshirt is similar to a hand me down Tito received from his big brother, a corgi-pug mix wore as a puppy. It looks super cute one and helps keep him warm on the coldest of days.

Tito's favorite food - Bil-Jac for small breeds
The breeder and vet both recommended Science Diet, but another respected dog friend advised Science Diet has too much grain and is just an okay dog food. Well at a pet expo we were given a sample of Bil-Jac. Oscar, our older dog loved the brand. We mixed some Bil-Jac in with Tito's Science Diet and Tito picked out just the Bil-Jac to eat. From then on we've given him 3 TBS of this daily, 1 TBS at a time. Small spread out meals are healthier for regulating smaller dogs glucose levels. The amount may not seem like a lot, but remember calories in dog foods vary, so always read the labels and follow what suits your pet best.
