I love to share my favorite patterns on the web for people out there who like making things as much as I do!

Free Patterns for the Knifty Knitter Long Looms

You can make scarves, leg warmers, shawls, blankets, crafts and much more using the set of long Knifty Knitter looms manufactured by Provo Craft. After you have made these for yourself and the people you love, consider making some long loom patterns as a service project. Laprobes can be donated to a nursing homes, or scarves to a homeless shelter.

Below is a collection of free patterns specifically for the long Knifty Knitter looms. (You won't find any round loom patterns here!) There are double panel knit stitches that can be done on long looms, that can't be made on a round loom. You can substitute other brands of long looms for these patterns, such as the Boye or Darice, but be sure the loom you choose is the same width.

My daughter got a loom recently and got about 10 rows into a scarf with one of those 8-wrap patterns, and the center of the loom is pulled in tighter than the outer edges. That is, in the center, the two sides of the loom are pulled close to each other. I think she must have the 15-inch loom. Do you have any tips for how to prevent that in the future?

I have been a knitter for more than 30 years, but I have never seen these kinds of looms before. It is very interesting, especially considering all the different things you can make. I never would have thought you could make that very cute bunny on a loom like this. Amazing! Great lens!

I never saw this before! Well, I think I saw them, but I was thinking it was something like those pot holders we made in 1st grade. Apparently I thought wrong -- these are nice looking, really knitted looking!
